11/28/21 I was involved in a car accident. I went to the ER. I have called the hospital and advised them I have an attorney that is handling all of medical bills. I also have insurance and had it at the time of the wreck. The lady told me okay she took the attorney info and I also gave her the other party insurance info..she said everything was okay. But today I got a call from a collection agency that my bill was sent to collections.. I am upset I have provided all info to the hospital and I still receive emails that the bill is due.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/08) */ Contact Name and Title: Barbara *****; Manager Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ************************** Ms. **** was seen at Hillcrest Hospital South in the Emergency Department. We loaded her coverage as MVA for this visit. Our vendor partner who collects on MVA accounts called the patient twice. The first time they spoke with her she answered but told us she didn't have time to provide any information. The 2nd time they called her we had to leave a message. They never received a call back and were never able to obtain any insurance or the attorney information that she references. They ended up having to close the account on their end. Hillcrest Hospital South billing office made the balance patient responsibility and sent her a statement to the address on file as of 01/20/2022. I do see Ms. **** called on 01/26/2022 to provide attorney information. We have returned the account to our vendor partner to pursue the attorney lead. They will contact Ms. **** if additional informational is needed. Account was never sent to collections.
