I called Kania Law Firm on 02/02/22 in search of an attorney for my paternity case. I spoke with Charles Kania whom I know now fast talked me into hiring him. I met with Charles the following Monday 02/07/22, where he asked me what it was that I was seeking from this lawsuit, I explained to him that I wanted sole legal custody in which Charles assured me I would be granted easily. It was not until now that I learned that Charles Kania fast talked me, Oklahoma is known to be a joint custody state and as an unethical person Charles never once notified me of that. Giving me false hope of being granted sole custody. It was obvious that this law firm was not a professional business when they not only put the wrong name on my receipt of payment but also put the wrong name on legal documents that they submitted to the court on my behalf. I caught the mistake on the documents and had to reach out to this office to have them correct it. I did not realize that I was scammed until I attended court on 03/11/22 where Zachary ******* a partner of Charles showed up to represent me instead of Charles himself. Charles never told me he would not be the one to handle my case although he is the one that I paid and seemingly hired. Zachary completely went against everything that I asked for in my answer to the petitioner's petition and tried to convince me to go ahead and settle for what the petitioner was asking which I refused to agree to. I fired Kania Law firm the following week 03/14/22 when I reached out to the office seeking to gain clarification on my case and that is when Charles became upset with me and was unprofessional, rushed me off the phone, and stated that he was in court. He ignored several text messages from me requesting billing info and a contract because he never gave me one. After I fired this office they ignored me and waited 2 days before my court day to withdraw stating "I would have to represent myself." No action was done until my new attorney reached out.
