American Heritage Construction remodeled my bathroom 3 years ago. I recently found water damage and have discovered that the shower pan was not installed correctly, the curb of the shower is not level and tilts toward the wall of the bathroom. I have water damage and the entire bathroom has to be torn out and reconstructed. The owner is aware of this problem and has not called or stopped by as promised to look at damage.

On October 24, 2018 I hired American Heritage Construction to redo my master bathroom.
In October of 2021, I discovered a water leak from the master bathroom. I contacted Matt Hager at American Heritage Construction and he said he'd send someone out to look at it. On November 3, 2021 I sent him photos of the damage under the house. Then I contacted him again on November 4, 2021 at 8:33am telling him about the water leak and popped tiles. He again said he'd have someone come look at it. On November 10, 2021 I at 2:23pm I contacted him again about the damage, explaining that we are senior citizens on a fixed income and this has created a huge problem for us. I contacted him again on November 11, 2021 at 9:20am asking him to give me a call to discuss. He has told me several times he'd be right out to look at the damage. He has not been to my home to inspect the damage and will not return my phone calls.

The shower pan was installed incorrectly, resulting in mold and wood damage in my hall closet, my master bathroom and under the house. The entire shower, walls of closet and the bathroom floor had to be torn out. We have spent approximately $13,800 to repair this damage. Due to his poor workmanship, our insurance WILL NOT cover this damage.

I did a search prior to hiring him and found no complaints. On his invoice he states he is a BBB Accredited Business. This contractor should not be trusted to do any work for anyone and will most likely prey on senior citizens again.
