This company is very predatory in its practices. My sons car was towed from a convenient store b/c he parked there for a high school football game. (Totally wrong and not complaining about this). We called at 10:00pm to confirm car was there and were told if we wait until the next day to get it, we would avoid after hours fee. We call 1st thing next day and ****** answered and said it would be $285.45 cash to get car out b/c we had to pay $60 after hours. That made no sense b/c the guy we called the previous evening said we would avoid the $60 after hours if we waited. She didnt care what we were told, we had to pay it. Ok, were on our way. She told us to call when there and shed open the door and we called multiple times and sat for about 15 minutes before let in. Once let in, we gave her all info and were then told $310.45 to get car out. We questioned her b/c we had JUST SPOKEN TO HER and she told us $285.45. She was very rude and couldnt explain why she told us 2 different amounts. I then paid the cash (exact change only) and asked for an invoice and she was rude about that also. The mystery $30 was put on the end of the invoice as a rollback fee????? That made absolutely no sense. No explanation on what that was. These people are predatorsthey have your car so just charge you whatever they want to and are extremely rude. All we wanted was our sons car back and she acted like we were putting her out. Would never use this business for ANYTHING!

Between 8/27/2022 starting around 10:00 and 8/28/2022 ending around 1:45 a.m. I endured the most egregious predatory towing practice I've ever seen. This tow violates 47 OS 954a. Additionally, the company failed to verify with management that the tow was authorized. My vehicle was taken from the parking lot around 4:00 p.m.and was not registered in a database for TPD to see on CLEOC by the time they were involved (8 p.m). I spent the evening calling several tow companies before finally discovering this one. I had a brief conversation with an unknown clerk, I pleaded my case about the status of this tow as I don't want to go through civil litigation, but my mentioning of suing only aggravated the clerk who. I called again after arriving at the Tulsa site off pine and asked to be let in, he did, and that's when he told me that it would be $60 dollars for every time I go out to the impound lot, for a total of $120 for the night (recorded). I left to get the cash and returned and was met with extremely belligerent behavior. I called to be let back in and he repeatedly hung up and flickered the lights in the office, and would place me on an immediate hold on the occasions that he didn't hang up. I called from a different number while still on hold 20 minutes later, which he picked up and instantly attempted to service before realizing it was my girlfriend. After some additional time, he finally came to let me in and I paid the initial $60 and asked for a receipt, the clerk ignored me and continued to the lot. After retrieving my registration we returned to the office and he told me the price to get my car out would be $235.35. Confused; I asked for the charges to be explained, he told me to figure it out with pending suit (recorded). I paid the new amount, he called several buddies and for "help counting" and continued to mock me over the phone with his friends/co workers. After some time; he handed a new invoice for an additional 60 dollar charge. I'm out of characters

My car was towed to the dealership for a coolant leak from my home using Speedy's Towing and Recovery. They took pictures of an undamaged car at my house and dropped it at the dealership with significant front end damage. The manager, Wayne (XXX-XXX-XXXX) admitted they had done the damage but then told me that it probably was a manufacturer defect and to call the car manufacturer. He refused to submit a claim making me think the company may be uninsured. The car has successfully been towed prior to this with no 'manufacturer defect' issues.

      Business response

      11/23/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/03) */ We did not refuse to submit a claim. We decide if we turn a claim into our insurance carrier for payment, or we pay out of pocket. The vehicle was towed properly using the manufacturer's recommended process. We had only begun a conversation about this issue, and have been awaiting further input from either the owner or dealership. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Wayne the manager with the tow company hung up on me after saying they would not cover it. I will forward this response to the dealership and the dispatch for the tow company. I also intend to notify ****** *** and ***** about this incident. If Speedy's towing and recovery had offered in any way to assist in the matter this would be resolved by now. Speedy's has my cell phone number, the dispatch company and the dealership information. They also hopefully have an insurance carrier. Accidents happen in every business but abandoning a customer after damaging their car is why accountability organizations need to exist.
