      We planned on building a large living space onto our home to make room for my daughter's therapy. I trusted a contractor named JR ******************** from Adams Restoration in ******, **, with a $7,500 down payment to order supplies and get started building back in November of 2021. Two years later, he is no longer returning my phone calls, text messages, or emails. However, he took our money and only showed up a couple of times. The work he HAS done has been unfinished with nails sticking out of wood, crumbling pieces of concrete and supplies left all over my back yard leftover from other jobs along with useless windows that dont even come close to matching the requested size for the room, and then left it in a wrecked state. He kept telling me that he will come out, but then he gives me NUMEROUS reasons as to why he hasnt shown up from stolen tools to his crew quitting, etc. Eventually, the grass grew around the product he left in the middle of my yard, the rain has soaked it, it was exposed to the blistering heat, and I dont even want this product to be used on my home now. When I tried contacting him through emails, voicemail, texts, and phone calls; he only responded after I texted him that I would get a lawyer. Another individual that I met said that he won a lawsuit against him, but he cant get his money since he doesnt hold down a job for any length of time, works for himself most of the time, and doesnt have a checking account or assets that he can go after. JR ******************** made it clear to my husband that he was NOT going to finish the job and wasnt going to return any money at all. He blamed me for mentioning bringing in a lawyer to protect us. Because of that, he said he just didnt want to do the work anymore, and all of our money was gone.He told my husband that his business no longer exists, so we can try to *** him if want. However, I know that hes still doing work for people who may not know what hes capable of.

      I hired this company to do a bathroom remodel. I was given a quote and a timeframe. Neither of which were being honored and the work was beyond bad. I fired him and asked for my $500 back and instead he publicly harassed me on fb. I would like my $500 back and for this complaint to be recognized publicly so others arent scammed by his work

      ****************,we appreciate your feedback.Upon review of your complaint our determination is as follows: We stated in the beginning we had other jobs going at the same time along with moving family and getting them situated in a dire situation.When asked if this worked you agreed.We were trying our best to appease all our clients.No time frame was given.We were accompanied by a plumber to assist us.Your photos we have seen so far resemble our photos we took last time we were there.No money EVER exchanged hands,therefore we cannot refund $500.We were given a saw that we offered to return to you,but you declined.The day you sent a message wanting us to cease work you stated the saw given to us would cover time & costs spent on our part for the work done up to that point.We purchased plywood,backerboard,shower drain,& plumbing($281).Work not included on quote was done;removed a medicine cabinet,hauled off load of trash,boxes to the trash & assisted you in loading items in your car.We in no way harassed.On a social page an individual asked for recommendations for a contractor,you chose to reveal our name negatively through a message.She wanted painting done in which we did not do for you.We felt it was not appropriate.You then began proposing to *** if we didnt keep trap shut,then proceeded with name calling.We apologize for mentioning your medical usage on a public forum.Our intention was not to embarrass but to point out we do not condone it in front of our kids as it poses health and safety risks;on numerous occasions this occurred.When jobs are felicitous we allow them to work with us.We experienced headaches & severe nausea after exposure.We were informed on days to not come due to treatments for bed bugs.It was in our best interest at that point to hire an exterminator to come assess our home(bites).This incurred time off work & money.Again,we would be more than happy to give you your saw back that we received as payment.

      It was made clear that once the demo was done the bathroom needed to be done due to my mental health. I have ocd & anxiety & cannot handle clutter & disorder. attached is the PRIVATE conversation I had w/a potential customer that also agrees he is sketchy & doesn't handle his business professionally.  As for the trash, he said he was taking it to help me out, he was never asked. He went through my trash to take golf clubs for his ALMOST ADULT son that was here, 1 SON, & it was never discussed that he would be bringing his child to my house. Also, when said child was here, I medicated outside on my property. Also attached or can be shown is where his wife, who i have never met and has never been to my house, slandered my reputation about my medical use. The disability act protects me from having to speak about this to anyone, including the contractor in my home.  It is unprofessional & has caused me suffering emotionally to be violated in my own home.The saw was purchased for $500 & was working when it left my property. Due to the complete lack of respect for my home & his work, I could never accept it back to use or sell to someone else in fear of its ability to be uses safely ever again. The supplies it was "supposed" to cover have all been ripped out & replaced due to his complete negligence costing me $1000.As far as the bed bugs, I have lived in this house since August of 2021 & never seen a bug. I can provide the exterminators notes to show that it was a new infestation. One that showed up when this contractor did. I can provide my receipts also. I would love to see the proof of this claim & would also like to again present how disgusting this business is to air private business about a clients home. This is further defaming my reputation. Its hard to not believe that this bugs came from the contractor.

      I would be more than happy to provide a receipt from the exterminator we used for our personal use after receiving bug bites from Ms. ******* home. Exterminator found nothing in our home. Bed bugs were already in her home before we started work, as she had to take all her bagged belongings out of the shower so we could work. Our son is an employee (almost adult but still a minor) and we do not ask for permission from clients. After calling my wife trash (she even stated that shes never met her), my wife simply tried to defend herself. We understand **************** has a reputation to uphold as a business owner, as we do also. The picture provided of the pipe is what I and the plumber installed ourselves. **************** also has in her possession a custom door we built (free of charge) that we were going to use. Again, we will gladly give the saw back.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      i Will only accept my $500. Per the text messages you just openly lied. The remodel started well before I had to have an exterminator come. I have reached out to an attorney for violating the Disability act, my privacy and your traumatic work done in and on my home. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a licensed business. Your wife is a bully, you are a con man and Im done fighting. Pay me for my saw. End of story. My consult is next week and I will proceed if you cant pay me for what you purchased
