I entered into a guardianship for a puppy with the breeder at Henry Elliots Doodles. I followed the contract to a T and she falsely accused me of not adhering to the nutritional guidelines and breeding practices. The only breeding practices I have a problem with is if she changed her breeding practices. The puppy is not old enough to be bred yet. Previously she stated she would not be breeding until she was 1.5- two years which I was totally aligned with because thats when its appropriate to breed a dog. As for the nutritional guidelines, she did not specify an exact food that she wanted the dog to be eating. Originally the puppy was eating the same food the breeder was feeding the puppies, that dog food was recalled. She did not contact us with a different dog food that she would like us to be feeding ***** but I contacted the vet for guidance on what to feed her. This occurred in November. In January, She wanted to see ***** and I took her to her house and in discussion she found out I was not feeding her the same food, she gave me a small bag of that food and I proceeded to switch ***** over to that exact food that she wanted ***** to be eating. On January 21 she required me to bring ***** to her house so that she could take the puppy to a vet to be tested for future breeding. She asked me to bring her crate, which I did comply with. It is a crate that I purchased. On January 22, I was expecting to hear from her to come and pick the puppy up after her testing was done but instead I received a letter canceling the guardianship. She now states that she would pay for the previous vet visits that I had paid for, but no mention of returning or paying for my crate. In addition, I have also paid quite a bit of money for dog training that I cannot continue with now because I do not have the dog. I paid $1395 for two dogs to be trained. I attached documents that show she is wanting to breed her now, my Bark Buster charge for training and the contract.Business response

Our agreement was entered into on August 19, 2023. On August 9, a link with ALL products we use and recommend, including food, treats, flea treatment, was sent via email. On pickup day, August 19, we verbally went over these items again. ****** was instructed to feed ****** Ocean ******. On or before October 23, 2023, ***** was switched to a homemade diet, without my approval. I was also not informed of this change. On October 31, 2023, ****** called the vet stating puppies are losing weight on homemade diet and would like to know how much to feed them. I had still not been informed of this change. On November 9, ****** put out a voluntary recall on their food. Between that date and the beginning of the year, we decided to switch all our dogs over to a different kibble. On January 2, ****, ***** and ****** came over for a visit. During the 2-3 hour visit, We discussed expectations, procedures, testing. During the visit, ****** asked if when ***** has puppies, she can bring her homemade food every day. I had not been aware ***** was strictly on a homemade diet. I asked her to immediately switch ***** to Taste of the Wild Ancient Stream, and I looked up vendor close to her home and asked her to pick up a bag on her way home and please switch ***** to the kibble. I also gave her a very large bag of dog food to take with her. I let her know ****** is important for their nutrition and growth and that mamas teach their puppies how to eat kibble starting at 3 weeks. I let her know homemade meals do not provide enough nutrition for mama or pups and that I cannot send puppies home on a homemade diet, ***** MUST BE on our selected kibble. She agreed and stated she would pick some up on the way home. During this visit we also discussed that ***** would be bred on her second or third heat, depending on age when these occur. We also discussed her spending the night occasionally so ***** can stay accustomed to our home. We spoke about bringing her crate and bed and ****** stated shes concerned about her spending the night because she doesnt do well in her crate and she sleeps in the room with her. ***** was doing great during our visit! Playful, happy, playing with the other dogs and kids. During this visit, I also learned that ***** had been prescribed Simpatico TRIO, which has not been proven to be safe in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs, per the rx package insert. Our reproductive vet does not recommend this for pregnant dogs, and ****** failed to inform me of ****** prescription. ****** also failed to inform me about the vitamins she has been giving *****. I found out about these on January 20, and I have still not been informed of what vitamins they are. January 20, ****, I reached out asking ****** what time she would like to drop ***** off the next day. She stated after 7pm so she can feed her. I let her know ***** is ok to be fully on the Kibble and that it is required. It has been 20 days since we discussed her going on the kibble. Per Taste of the Wild, transition to their kibble should only take **** days. During this discussion, I was informed ***** is getting supplemental vitamins to make up for the lack of nutrition from the homemade diet. I have not been told what those supplements are. ***** is currently 5-7lb underweight. Given the circumstances, per vet assessment and recommendation, it was in *****'s best interest to terminate the contract. In the two weeks that she has been here, she has been fully transitioned to kibble and has been steadily gaining weight. In regard to compensation, per our termination agreement section 4, all fees and expenses are non refundable. I have graciously reimbursed ****** for vet visits, vaccines, and the kennel.
