On October 24, 2022, around 8 p.m., I placed two orders online for four bottles of Rx Sugar Organic Liquid Sugar (Allulose). The cost of each order is $25.98. They deducted one dollar from one order and paid from my account cash rewards and the rest from my credit card. And I placed this order from the beginning because Walgreens' online advertisement said, "Spend $25 on select ****************** earn $7 in cash rewards."However, I didn't receive the promised $7 reward for any orders (except $0.24 and $0.25 in sequence). I had to check my account online continuously to know if the orders were shipped and delivered or not. I noticed that the first order was delivered on Oct.28 and the second on Oct.31 without any notification to me by email or message. And when I went to pick them up, they told me that there were no rewards on these purchases, and they had no idea about this advertisement since it was an online shipment. So I decided to return them both. because the price is different compared to other stores. I have been a Walgreen customer for over 15 years, and I have placed several online, pickup, and in-store purchases, but this experience was the worst.

this walgreen's pharmacy has had inordinate wait times for the past few years to pick up prescriptions. when ordering online, i receive an email that my prescription is ready for pick up. for the past 6 months the pick up time has been extended by days. i used to be able to get a prescription in ***** hours, now it takes more than 3 days. i just checked on a prescription i ordered on oct. 22nd. it was supposed to be ready oct. 25th. i just checked my online order ************** is no mention that this order is being filled at all. it needed a re-entry from my doctor, but i was not notified of any delay or unfulfillment. every time i call the pharmacy i have a more than a 45 minute wait to talk to someone. i've even been disconnected when i was next in line. i did an online chat last week at walgreens.com as the doctor sent in 2 prescriptions i did not need immediately, so i wanted them stopped so they didn't have to fill them. online chat said they would contact pharmacy & have them put in online prescription que for a later fill. they did not contact the pharmacy & when i went to pick up my other 2 prescriptions these 2 were also bagged & ready to go. i've been there numerous times to pick up orders when there was 1 person checking out the drive-thru AND the walk up counter -- ONE PERSON ONLY FOR BOTH WINDOWS. this has happened more times than not when i pick up prescriptions -- 1 person checking out both drive thru & inside. there was an instance a few weeks ago that made the news as the pharmacy just shut down. people lined up outside & inside for ******************** just shuttered the pharmacy. my friend was in that line & said there was some mumbling from the person closing the pharmacy about the pharmacist but couldn't make out what was being said. this is the closest pharmacy to ******* has a drive thru. i have had multiple operations this year & walk w/a can & cannot stand in 1 spot for a prolonged period of time. i have already spent an hour in the drive thru: i had gotten a prescription for a pain killer from the doctor so i had to hand it in at the drive thru (that took about a half hour), & then get in line to wait to pick it up (that was another half hour). i could almost understand this as it was an immediate need, but their 'regular' process leaves so much to be desired. after i had placed a complaint w/the company about a month ago, i was contacted by email to say the manager would get in contact w/me. he never did. the pharmacy personnel seem to be doing their job but there seems to be alack of enough personnel to fulfill orders & check out customers. walgreens just bought out the bi-mart pharmacies which will close & i'm afraid the overload on this river road pharmacy is going to explode. walgreens home office does not seem to be interested in this problem or they would have addressed the issue years ago when it started to go haywire. now i'm afraid it's going to get much worse & i can't imagine the backlash on customer service if it does. i also can't imagine anyone actually wanting to work for this pharmacy. it must be a living h*** for the competent, tireless people who must be grossly overworked there. this is not a 'covid related issue' as it started before that. it's just totally unacceptable now & will get worse w/the transfer of bi-mart prescriptions to this already overloaded location. i blame corporate for this mismanagement & lack of regard for its pharmacy ********************* alike. it's obvious that walgreens faithful customer base has far outgrown it's corporate sense of commitment to its *********************.
