I went to use this do it yourself car wash on 3/6/24. I slid my debit card and then tried to use the car wash but nothing was working and then I noticed that some of the tools in the bay were frozen over. I didn't even get a drop of water or soap out of anything and I went back and hit the stop button after less than 30 seconds. I moved over to another bay which was more in the sun and the tools didn't have a sheet of ice over them. Again, the same thing, I ran my card and tried to get something to work but did not even get a drop of water so the pipes must have been frozen at the entire facility. I hit stop on the machine and left. I was charged $2.00, and I know that's not a lot, but the fact that they refuse to answer their phone or return my calls is bad business. I am calling the number on the machine that says to call if you need assistance. I called on 3/8 and again on 3/12.

On Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 I brought my car to Flying Frog Car Wash, an automated (no employees) car wash service. You drive into a bay, insert money or a credit card into a controller machine, and choose among various options to wash one's car. I initially used two dollars in cash, and when that allotted time ran out, I ran my CC/debit card through the machine to finish my wash. It was quick, as I was already nearly done. I pressed the "stop" button, the soap/water nozzle lost pressure, and the display on the machine showed me a charge of $2. Great! The following day I checked my bank account, and saw that ******************** Frog had charged me $17.25, for a service that had previously been $2.No worries, mistakes happen. However, when I tried to contact Flying Frog Car Wash, I was never able to talk to a person, nor receive any response. I left several messages on the recorded message line explaining what had happened, and requesting a return call. ***** There is no other easy method to contact Flying Frog, as no other "contact us" information is provided at their wash, or on their website. I did eventually write an email to FF's parent company (Signal Ventures) but, par for the course, never received a response. Eventually, a couple of days later, I contested the charge with my bank/credit union, and they refunded the money into my account. To sum up: they charged me $17.25, for a charge that previously read $2. They did not respond to repeated attempts to contact them to rectify the situation. It is challenging to track down alternative contact information for this company, which makes me deeply suspicious that similar incidents happen frequently, and that the obstacles in contacting this company make people give up. This screams unethical/illegal behavior on their part. I know it's incredibly cliche, but it's the principle of getting overcharged - even by less than $20 - which is so frustrating.
