Was disappointed that I had to look for sales myself. Found one $600 sale not paid for and to date have still not received a check as promised. Most people commented how rude and disinterested they were in doing the sale especially the wife. Probably over 50% of items were not marked with a price and the prices were all over the place. One item I saw was marked $400 and even if it sold on half price day it does not fit into any of the categories. The wife spent time discussing some personal teenager problems going on and totally ignored customers and said anything left over would be my problem. There was a lot left over. They said they would have extra help but the wife set up in the house and the husband was in the garage except when the wife was gone and he sat at the money box with a young girl. The house was not secured and one garage door was left open while they were away somewhere during setup time. Promises to pull down the rest of the items from the garage storage were unfulfilled and those items were still there. Items were still inside dressers and cabinets and had not been removed or priced at all. Also there was no media coverage as promised. They said it would be on their site plus places like Marketplace but people only saw a sign from one direction and not the other. The sale was advertised for quilters but the amount I received for fabric misc. doesn't begin to match the amount gone. They also brought their own items to sell at my estate sale. I saw at least 5 kitchen bags full that they were packing up to take home. Promises to pick up and keep things clean were ignored and there were used wash cloths (mine) waded up on the counter and empty toilet paper rolls and other personal female monthly trash on the floor. They have now threatened me that they will charge me for things that were in the house when they came for the interview. I was still living there and brought my personal items to my new, smaller home or returned to family.Initial Complaint

November 13th and 14th, 2022 I had an Estate moving sale at my home in Bend Oregon. Golden Star did the preparation and selling. After the sale, I received money for the sold items. The rest of the items were hauled off. I didn't receive a receipt or an itemized list of where they all went. I needed the receipt for my taxes. I had 2 sets of golf clubs, 1 tool set/bench, 2 bookcases, 1 recumbent bike, 1 treadmill, 1 leather furniture set, 1 coffee table, 6 tables, 1 rocking chair, 1 toybox/bench, 2 dressers, 1 antique phone-chair, 1 antique chair, 1 silverware & case (Lady Hamilton), 1 jewelry armoire, 30 pieces custom jewelry, 19 blouses, 13 sweaters, and 12 pairs shoes. I had tried numerous of times to contact the owners of Golden Star. I called and left messages, texted and emailed them. I hadn't heard anything back. I need a receipt for my taxes, the estimated amount is $14,000.
