On the day of June 26th, 2021, we were playing at ****** Park in ***********. We had a parking pass and were parked in a proper spot. We had run out of food and my kids were getting hungry. So, I went to get my vehicle. When I walked up it was gone. Bystanders standing near said that my car had just been towed. I looked up and saw a tow truck with my minivan attached headed to the right. After I realized that I could not get my car, I walked around in 108-degree weather looking for a sign or anything saying to where my car had been taken. There were no signs. I spoke to the park rangers, and they did not know who had towed my vehicle because there were no signs. I then tried to call the non-emergency to find my car. They had no record of my vehicle being towed. I called the local tow companies to see if they had towed my vehicle and the person who answered the Cascade Towing & Automotive answered and continued to scream at me telling me I was lazy and to stop calling them. The man sounded extremely intoxicated and aggressive. I was at this park with my 4-year-old, 5-year-old, 6-year-old and my 8-year-old. They were starting get hungry and cranky in the very hot weather. I called my husband and he had to go to the tow company location in a neighbors vehicle. When he arrived there, there were multiple people waiting for their cars and they told him that the man appeared to be intoxicated. He was getting peoples cars and was very cranky. There were skid marks on the ground where they towed my vehicle, because when they towed my vehicle, they put on the emergency brakes and then backed out. They broke the emergency brake in the process, and we had to get it repaired. I found my car missing at approximately 5:30 and did not get a ride home until 6:30. We were stranded for an hour. It was $395 to get my car back from Cascade Towing and $725 to fix the emergency brakes. My insurance company has been trying to get a hold of the company and they haven't ans

We received a complaint via the ********** of ******* regarding this matter back in August of 2021, and have received no rebuttals or communications since.

As similary stated to the ********** of *******:

In regard to ********************** complaint, the only validity of the complaint is that we did in fact tow his vehicle, but all of the other claims are not valid. On June 26, 2021, (a Saturday afternoon), we were requested to remove an illegally parked/or time expired vehicle from the Clackamas County Parks **********, as we are contracted to do so. To reiterate,we are contracted by the Clackamas ************************ to remove illegally parked vehicles - the Park Rangers and/or Security Officers are the ones who ordered Mr. ******* vehicle to be removed.
At this time, we are not going to respond to any of the hearsay **************** is claiming on behalf of the Clackamas County ***************.This is the first to our knowledge that there has been a complaint, and Mr.******* hearsay in regard to the *************** is not validated.
One of our drivers was dispatched to retrieve this vehicle from ****** Park, not the owner ****. Further, **************** claims that he was in direct contact with the owner over the phone, is also inaccurate. The owner of Cascade Towing had no involvement with this situation and did not tow this vehicle himself, only the driver who was dispatched to retrieve the vehicle was involved.
Additionally, Mr. ******* complaints further provide invalidity because he retrieved his vehicle from our impound yard the same day on June 26, 2021. Please see our attached receipt for reference.
To add, there was no damage done to ********************** vehicle. As you can see on the attached tow receipt, he signed the bottom of the receipt acknowledging that our company towed his vehicle, and by signing, he also signed off on our Hold Harmless agreement.

If there was truly damage done to his vehicle, why did it take over a month and a half to report these claims to the **** And almost a year to report to the BBB? Not to mention, we have never been contacted directly regarding this matter.**************** had no issues getting into his vehicle and driving out of our video surveillanced tow yard.

We do not take slander towards our business lightly, and we believe that this is a blatant attempt for this individual to attempt to obstruct our reputation, while trying gain some sort of compensation by trying to accuse us of damaging his vehicle, which did not happen.

      Sincerely,
      *******************

      Complaint: 17433481

I am rejecting this response because:

You did damage our vehicle and you did cause emotional distress.  My car was not illegally parked, the rangers did not know who towed my vehicle.  You were illegally towing vehicles in 108 weather.  This dispatcher was very drunk and unprofessional.  My insurance has made numerous attempts to contact you.  Everything you said is a lie.  I have made no public remarks slandering your company.  I just want you to own up and pay for the damages before I take this to small claims.  Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      *************************
