      5/10/2023 - At about 10am I signed up for a red light membership at SunsUp Tanning in their Oak Grove location. I told the employee that I was only interested in one month & asked what date I needed to cancel my membership. She told me I needed to cancel in person on 6/8 or 9. I was not given a copy of the contract or a receipt.5/11/2023 - My credit card was charged $77.95 for one month membership.6/9/2023 - At about 10am I went in & told the employee I wanted to cancel my membership. This employee, who was different from the employee I dealt with when I signed up, told me that I couldnt cancel until 6/15 or 16. 6/14/2023 - At about 10am I went in and again tried to cancel my membership. This time I dealt with the original employee I signed up with. I was again told I had to wait until 6/15 or 16 to cancel.6/15/2023 - In the morning I checked & my credit card had been charged $65 for a second month of membership. At about 11am I went in & was told that the only way I could cancel my membership was to sign a Departure ****************** which said that I understood last payment of ***** will be due on 6/15/2023. It goes on to state that I have use of the facility until 7/14/2023. This is unacceptable. I do not want more red light treatments. I want $***** refunded to my credit card. 6/16/2023 - I emailed SunsUp corporate stating the above information.6/19/2023 - I received an email from *************************, Senior Admin of SusnsUp ************** Spa extolling the virtues of red light & saying there is not a way for us to make changes to the account until after the first payment is made. She included a copy of the contract I signed on 5/10/2023.6/21/2023 - I emailed ************************* & told her that was unacceptable & that I would contact the ****** ************************ & the Better Business Bureau if my credit card wasnt refunded. I have not heard from ****** or SunsUp since then & I haven't received a credit to as of 6/27/2023.

      Horrible business, horrible customer service, horrible everything! Tried to go in to ******* facility yesterday which was Sunday January 24th, only to find a sign on the door stating they arent open on sundays any more cuz of labor shartage. They couldnt send out an email to their customers or anything about it. I live quite a ways away and takes me around 25 minutes to get there. So I went into today to explain this to them and cancel my membership. They then tell me that they will charge me for next month because of a 30 day cancelation policy. It is SUNSUPS fault I have to cancel in the first place as Sunday's are one of the only days I can make it there. UNBELIEVABLE. Is it in their agreement that they can just shut down whenever they feel like and I still have to pay my full membership fee?? And have a 30 day cancelation policy? That is robbery. On top of that they no longer have any corporate phone number you can even to talk to anyone. I have never been treated this poorly in my like by any company that I have paid money to for 10+ years. Thanks SUNSUP.

      On another note, they had also shut down the east ******* club, which was the club that I live the closest too. For about a year, every one of their employees that I had talked to said that they are reopening it. I was told numerous stories such as, its just closed cuz of the pandemic, its just closed because of remodeling, its just closed because they are getting new equipment, etc. its still not open 2 years or so after that. They never sent out any kind of email to customers explaining anything about it. Just kept on charging me even tho that was the only SUNSUP facility I ever went to.

      Hi *****,It is such a unfortunate circumstance, that all businesses and individuals have been impacted by covid, and the labor shortage. I can assure you we are not the only ones. We have done our best to keep our doors open with the struggle of the pandemic and the impact it has had on all small local family owned businesses. We did post at each location the sunday closures along with the hours on ****** reflect each hour of operation per location. We do have an email for customer service that is also posted. Since we no longer have corporate staff on site. We are able to waive the 30 day notice due to situations such as this if you were to have emailed and let us know. We are all in this together and I am unsure how anyone does not see the struggle businesses face. It is 4 days out of the month we are now not open - Our prices had not changed in 27 years of business. And I assure you we are doing our very best. If you do not come into the facility to cancel we are not alerted you want to cancel. Just as any other membership based establishment it does not allow for us to see when you have been in last due to privacy issues so we have no way of knowing this information. But we have been open for you to come if you choose not to do so we can not control that. But what I can do is be sure you are not charged again. I hope you see we feel lucky to still be around and we are doing our best to stay open and closing on sundays has been something we had no other option to do. We did our best to alert all customers I apologize you were not aware. We have done everything we can we would hope others can see we are not in this alone.
