This is a complaint towards Midas in ****** to be specific. I had an issue with my timing chain making very load noises and it was basically broken. Long story short I had them open the crank case where the timing chain is and fix any issues that were there. The mechanic that worked on my car told me verbally about the tool he needed to get to hold the cams in place so he could change my timing chain. This is proof that he did in fact work on the chain. That is a very important key for what happens next. Right when I started my car it was making a new internal noise. I ignored that noise and thought maybe that is just how it is supposed to sound because I trusted Midas to fix the issue I paid for.A few months later, the new noise got louder and I noticed lots of oil coming out from my engine from the spot that was supposedly fixed. I put oil in my engine and it came out of the bottom almost as fast as I put it in. Took it back to Midas then the manager saw the oil coming out. The manager refused to admit that the work of his shop caused the leak which was not there before Midas touched my car. He especially did not confirm or deny this over the phone. So Midas "gifts" me a used engine (they knew they messed up). When I started the car after they installed it, there's still a noise like knocking. The manager did not acknowledge the noise and had me sign a paper to take my car. I felt so bullied into signing the paper because the manager had been nothing but rude up until this point and I knew if I questioned him he might just say I can't have my car. Now 8 months later, my car has bad leaks from seals and the timing is affecting my transmission.Called corporate twice and twice was promised someone from corporate would call me or email me. I waited then the manager from the Corona Midas calls. I did not talk to him because I was told managers are not to call customers about these issues. Now my engine is ruined and it's dangerous to drive my car because of Midas.Initial Complaint

I have a 2010 **** Fusion SE. On 9/27/2022 the rotors and the brakes and pads were fixed by ***************, ** Midas. It was suggested that the outer tie rod and back tires to be done which were done 9/29/2022 by **************,** Midas along with the control arms. When I went to get my tires balanced at pep boys in ************** on 10/13/22 they alerted me that all the bolts on the driver's front rotors were loose and they suggested I go back to *************** Midas. I took it back to the *************** Midas to tell them the rotor on the driver's front was loose and told them to tighten it then said they did but did not which was confirmed at the ************** Midas where I asked for a second opinion. Not only that, there were bolts missing on the rotor. Both the sister company, Midas in **************, and pepboys in ************** had stated that the rotors were loose which they had also deemed caused the axel boot to pop off due to the shaking of the loose rotors. I will attach the receipt for the job done on 9/27/22 and will also attach the pepboys analysis of the Midas job from 10/13/22. I had also contacted Midas corporate on 10/13/22 with the claim number *******.
