I was quoted $400-600 to have my car dyno and tuned. They installed improper software on my system. Installed incorrect parts even when given the correct part numbers. Refused to give vehicle back without the higher payment. When contacted by my wife they originally agreed that they would redo everything and issue a partial refund. When she insisted that they installed the correct software back on the car and used it he became insistent onusing the incorrect and told her to not contact again. Waited patiently for the partial refund still and have not received anything. Never an apology or anything. I am filing a claim through my card issuer now as I can not even drive the car at all and will have to pay another shop to fix what they broke. My car was completely drivable and usable before they touched it. They made comments about amazing a car that still runs after dyno and when forced to make higher payment they made comments about "better hope you have enough money". To summarize: wiped correct software and installed incorrect software, installed incorrect parts when correct parts information was given, promised to fix and redo plus partial refund until insisted use of correct software then told not to contact again, over charged for service and never gave the agreed amount back. Have multiple text messages with owner stating what I have stated as well

I brought my car to ftw to diagnose oil leak they told me my engine was blown without showing me real evidence that it was so I trusted them when they recommended a new used engine. in the beginning I told them I wanted my original engine back when the job was done. so they ordered a new used engine which turned out to be bad so they went ahead and ordered another used engine which turned out to be bad I gave them **** dollar deposit for the engine. At this point there not gonna get another used engine. So I asked them for a refund and my original engine back. The owner told me they got rid of my block and theres no refund, and I could have my engine in pieces and come take my car.

I took my car to FTW tuning in May to have a performance motor put in. While rebuilding it told me it needed one of the cylinder heads replaced (which was less than a year old) They said it was UN-usable. I requested they send me pictures. I showed the pictures to mechanics including the one who built it previously, all of which said that it looked too new to have been there already. They also told me my clutch and flywheel needed to be replaced, both of which were also less than a year old but okay, maybe. So, I spent $8500 on the build in total. I had to ask for my old (still running) motor when I picked my car which I felt to be a little suspicious. All in all, I wasn't happy with the price but they told me it was the last motor I'd ever need. The car was immediately smoking, they told me it was normal and would go away but it never did. I followed all the instructions they gave me on a print out sheet with oil changes and keeping the rpms low and the car out of boost. It drove on the tune that ***** the owner made. I have receipts for everything. I followed all the instructions to a T. and yet the motor had issues the whole time. It was burning oil, had low compression, wasn't idling right, bad cam seals, I have receipts from other mechanic shops in Portland all dated. **** told me it needed an air oil separator and that would fix it. I took it to get pro-tuned at English Racing in Washington and it immediately blew up. This was in august so only 3 months had passed. I had it towed down to FTW. 1.5 months later they called me to tell me the motor failed due to foreign contaminants and its not their fault but mine. I asked how it could possibly be my fault and they said "Maybe you sucked something into the motor while driving" I've never heard of this happening and I find it highly suspicious that it would happen to me right after they built the motor. Every other mechanic shop says its the build, but FTW says its my fault. Now I have no car and no money.
