He put in my wood flooring I bought from his aunts business. He did a very good job, that is why I sought him out to replace my deck and stairs. He came out and I told him I wanted to keep it around the $20K area. He also said he would give me a veterans discount of 10%. I gave him $10K to start the project. He and his employee came out and and built the front steps first. After that he came to me and said I would need to pay $7.5K more if I wanted him to finish the job. His next bid was without the veterans discount, and now my project went from $20K, to 27.5K. Let me just say he poorly bid the job. Fast forward... they would sometimes work a week, sometimes leave during the day and I wouldn't see or hear from them for a few days, or a week + with no communication with me that they wouldn't be working those days. At the end of the project, the workmanship is not very good... corners not square, some screws drilled in, some not (to prevent scratches when holding the rails), a lot of the wood cracked, poor quality wood, and so on, and so on. He did come back and repair some of the stuff, some he didn't do, I used blue painters tape for the worst area's I wanted addressed, and after he was done I still found blue painters tape in places. I would suggest that if you need carpentry work done, to look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I like Aaron and his employee, nice people, but I certainly did not get a $27,500 deck.
