A male from *********, has been using my cellphone number to obtain warranties at AutoZone **** I called **************** on May 11th and explained to the Representative the issue. She then told me she can not remove his information from my cell phone number/account. Then , I also informed her, it was fraud because I don't live in ********* and had my cell phone number for over, 17 years. The Representative then, stated she still cannot remove his information from my number.

On May 30th of 2023, my husband and I brought our 2011 ****** Tundra to this store because we were having battery issues. We determined that we would buy a new battery. The truck was in the parking lot and they said that they could do a battery change out for us and dispose of the old battery. The first battery that they brought out was the wrong battery for our truck. About three young men then became involved in trying to get the battery installed correctly. After several attempts they brought out another battery and put it with the polarity reversed. By placing the battery in backwards it caused the entire fuse box to blow and left our truck not drivable. We had to leave the truck overnight and went back the next day to get the truck over to ****** of ****** for repair. The bill to have our truck repaired was $1013.91. The manager had told us that we would be reimbursed for this mistake and we dropped off a copy of the invoice from ****** of ******. I have had numerous conversations with the manager, ************************************* about being reimbursed for this event. I've been given the run around for months and I have now decided to pursue other methods of resolving this claim. I have tried calling the "home office" and left messages for various bogus numbers for "district managers". My last conversation with ************************** was that he had gotten the claim approved, but we never received payment. I called again yesterday and was told to once again try to reach a district manager with a phone number that is not identified with being related to Autozone. It will be a year in May of 2024 and I am now looking at what other options I might have in order to get this resolved.

      Hello,

After to reaching out to the BBB, I decided to email the *** of Autozone. I ended up being called by two representatives of the ******* area in management on the very next day.

I have now received a check for the full amount of the repair.

It was amazing to see that a *** actually reads emails from consumers!

      My issue is resolved.

      Thanks for your assistance!

On March 17, 2023 I purchased a Duralast Torque Wrench from this AutoZone location that had a incorrect and expired calibration that resulted in several bolts getting sheared off in my car's engine due to the incorrect torque being applied. This resulted in a loss of approximately $525 in materials costs. I contacted the store and their corporate headquarters immediately after the loss. I was ignored for almost six months before finally having my claim denied by the regional and district managers ****** and ******. I was told they have never had a torque ****** returned for that reason despite numerous consumer complaints of this same issue in the review section of their website for this exact tool who have reported similar claim denials by AutoZone. This exhibits a pattern of behavior by this business to deny valid claims from consumers and deliberately defraud customers with faulty tools with expired calibrations. I provided the regional and district managers with pictures of the tool and how the calibration is incorrect and despite this documented proof they still denied my claim.

The employee go there manager who didn't want to look at my bank statement and tried to tell me to pay again. I refused so I didn't recieve item. She said wait 24 hours. I then called my bank and the next day and they said it posted to my bank. I called store and manager said if I have proof to bring it there for refund. Once I came to store she said she can't refund my money and call police on me lied and told them a mentally ill person was in lobby and was refusing to give me corporates number. The police came only for her to look dumb and they were mad at her. She then gave me information to make complaint. They found my transaction and said I would get refund. I never recieved refund or got a call from them. I keep having to call them back. This store literally stole my money and I may have to go through the court to *** them.

I purchased a Duralast battery on 4/29/20. In March 2022 the battery was returned due to it dieing before the warranty expired.I was given a new battery at that time with a 2 year manufacture warranty. On January 12, 2023 I returned the battery back to AutoZone due to it dieing. I was told the exchange was not updated in the system and I will have to buy a new battery. This battery is under manufacture warranty and I want it replaced. Error was on employee side not mine. Battery has dates to prove age, and plainly states on AutoZone website and Duralast website it has a two years manufacture warranty.I want a new battery or my ****** I originally paid for the battery. Original order number: **************** Item: ****** I have been to the store, I called the store twice in past week. I called 800 customer service on 1/12/23 and was advised of resolution within 48 hours. Left message with DM asking for a return phone call on 1/12/23, per the voicemail my call would be returned within 48 hours but still not call. I contacted customer service again today 1/7/23 and was placed on hold to review my account I held for over 30 minute, then disconnected. Please help. The battery is less than a year old and has a 2 year manufacture warranty, I would like it honored. Thank you, ***************************

I purchased a starter from autozone with a lifetime warranty. In November 2021 I was headed home and heard a loud thud I immediately pulled over and had my car towed home. While diagnosing the problem I removed the starter which came out in pieces. I contacted autozone which said that I needed to make a commercial claim since the broken starter caused other problems. This was coming from the district manager around December 1st. on december 8th 2021 a commercial claim was filed at store **** claim #******-01.I also submitted an estimate for $1600 to repair the damages caused by the starter malfunctioning the next 10 months. I have been passed around from representative to representative. The store manager at store **** said she wasn't sure. Finally after numerous calls on november 18th 2022 the district manager called and said that they would not warranty the damages caused by their faulty part.

I went to autozone for coolant/antifreeze, I asked ******* (store manager) which type of coolant/antifreeze my vehicle took he said "north American peak". I grabbed it did a coolant flush and my car started getting ho. So I replace the thermostat twice, water pump, hoses and coolant/antifreeze but this time I went to a different autozone and they told me "get zerex" I asked if they were sure they checked the computer and zerex is what my car requires. So in conclusion I spent additional money on water pump, thermostat and hoses all because the store manager told me to get the wrong coolant/antifreeze.
