I recently purchased a motorbike with my husband from this dealership. We noticed when we recently received our license plate we were overcharged on the use tax. After reviewing the documents we signed digitally and were rushed thru in processing, we noticed that the paperwork wasn't filed properly. We had a bike we were trading in, that trade in should've been deducted from the cost of the new bike effectively lowering the cost of taxes paid on the new one. This wasn't done that way and instead we ended up paying hundreds more than we should have because the trade wasn't included until the bottom once all other fees and taxes had been applied.Initial Complaint

I took my brand new bike to LATUS to have parts installed. Parts that I purchased with the recommendation of both the LATUS PARTS and SERVICE department employees. As well as parts I purchased from LATUS when I bought the motorcycle from them, NEW!!!!!! When I picked the bike up, the part, (specifically passing lamps), was sub standard, and the employee told me had they purchased the part for me they would have sent it back and would have never installed them. The finish was flawed, the blinker assembly fell apart when touched and the installer damaged my bike during install. And the lights did not even function. When I asked why when they saw the quality had they not called me before install, I was told it was their policy to install whatever the customer brought, no questions asked. I requested the part be taken off, they said they could not until next week, and would not as I would have no blinkers. I requested tools to take them off myself and was told I could not use their tools. Finally after protest I was lent some basic hand tools. I took the parts off in the parking lot so I could ride home without parts falling off on the freeway.I asked to speak to a manager and was told the store had a new owner and there was no manager to speak with. I will take up the part quality with the manufacturer however LATUS still charged me for the install of the passing lamps, when they should have never been installed. They also damaged my bike which will cost me money to fix. Their solution was touch up paint and a buff which is not acceptable to me, the bike was new when they took it and should still look new when I picked it up. There is much more to this complaint but not enough characters to finish it.Business response

We have reached out with explanation and options of resolution to no avail. Many of the complaints presented were unable to be satisfied at the time of service due to liability (use of company tools, removal of safety features). If you would like to have any of the resolutions that were offered please call your service writer.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: your last offer of resolution was and still is unacceptable. You offered to refund install of passing lamps OR to replace the nacelle that your employee damaged.Obviously a either or scenario is unacceptable. I since emailed ******* and asked to be refunded for any amount over ****, I believe that amount was 477 and change and I would consider the matter resolved. I received no response to that email.
I remind you that amount (477) is still less than the install and your cost for the nacelle. Your business is the party acting unfairly in this situation, not me.
