R&J Mobility used the $41,995.00 I paid them, as middleman, on March 15, 2022 on other than my account. The money should have been paid to ***, a van conversion company, to convert my van to a wheelchair accessible vehicle. My van was shipped to ******* and the conversion was done, as contracted, by VMI (who did a beautiful job). The van was not shipped back, however, due to the fact R&J Mobility had not paid VMI for that work. R&J kept telling me that VMI wasnt shipping it back right away because it was in a transport queue - COVID complications with hiring, etc. That was believable enough that I let it go for a while. The van was actually completed by VMI (as told to me by VMI when I finally called them directly) and would have been returned to me by the end of May had R&J Mobility not misappropriated that $41,995.00 I paid them in March. My van sat in a parking lot in the *******, ** heat for 4 months due to R&J Mobilitys misuse of my money. This event damaged the tires on my van. I have documentation from ****** service proving tire damage. Damage documentation already has been given to R&J Mobility showing tire condition before and after time in the *******. This was documented by *****************, who had just serviced the van at the end of 2021 and serviced it again when I finally got the van back. I sent R&J Mobility this documentation with a demand for reimbursement of tire expenses on September 30, 2022. I have had no response.Initial Complaint

Purchased the vehicle from R&J in April. We are from ******** and drove by on a trip, then back to purchase the vehicle. Over 5 months later and our lender has still not received the title! The vehicle was on consignment at R&J and we were informed by them that it would take slightly longer than normal because of that. We have reached out as the purchaser and our lender has reached out as well. At this point we are not getting any return contact and neither is the lender. We have been calling at least weekly for the past month. There is also an electrical issue we were told was repaired and it kept happening. We have had the vehicle looked at by a mechanic and now have a bill over $1,000.Initial Complaint

Consigned my handicapped conversion van to R&J Mobility in March 2022. Van sold July 5th. Business owner, *************************, made a partial payment 6 weeks later (Aug 11) after I repeatedly called, texted and emailed him. He said at the time of the partial payment that he would be sending the balance over the next few days due to wire transfer limits. He has not sent any further payments. He does not return calls or emails from me or from his secretary. As of today, August 26, I have not received any of the significant balance he owes me and attempts to contact him have failed.
