At the time of move in, I reported black mold in the apartment which was never addressed throughout my whole tenancy; it caused numerous health problems, such as hives, respiratory issues, itchy eyes, and chronic sinusitis. I always paid my rent, fulfilled my tenancy at ************************ C in ********* ****** from January 2020 to July 2021, because my credit is important to me. I provided a 30 day notice before moving out, left the apartment in the same condition as it was at move in. I have a video of the black mold and photos that I left the property in good condition. I provided Preferred Property with my mailing address but have not yet received my security deposit of $1800.00. I have followed up with phone calls and emails, but they are not responding to me. I have consulted attorneys in the *************** regarding this matter since August of 2021, but the cost of retaining an attorney is more than $1800.Business response

****** made complaint about the mold in her closet and under sink on 7/21/21. ******* and ***** went to the unit the very same day and treated the closet. The sink area did not have mold. The tenant deposit was $1500 not the $1800 she claims. Her move out statement was mailed to her. When she turned in keys she had a $429 unpaid rent due she broke her Lease which had a $1080 penalty. Janitorial fees of $312 Tenant Damage of $50 and $21.24 on supplies used. She currently has a balance owed of $520.74 She has been contacted by ***********. and she is aware of the balance owed.Customer response
