      I cancelled my gym membership because I had to move for a new job in January 2024. I was told cancelling a membership could only be done in person so I went in and filled out their form in the office. I was also told my account will be charged for another 1-2 months. I was charged for **** Feb, March and April. In *** I called them from my new state and sent a message on their company website with no response. I had my bank block the transactions. I received a forwarded letter saying I owe membership fees and late fees for *** and June and the cancellation was never filed and that I have to pay them before I can cancel my membership AGAIN! I feel scammed into this and can't escape.

      Issue: Membership Cancellation Questionnaire not designed with corrective terms to be a binding document. Cases in point, joined facility on Sept 2021. members included Myself (*******), **** and *******. ******* was not present, but Manager approved joint venture.August 31, 2022, submitted cancellation (******* and *******), handed to on site Manager. Oct 14 2022 submitted cancellation questionnaire for ****, to onsite manager, no questions asked.Nov, 15 2022 questioned why fees were still being withdrawn from credit Union acct. Stated that the questionnaire was invalid as ****'s name was not on the top line of the form. January 17, 2023, resubmitted with name on appropriate line.Feb. 18 deductions still occurring. Spoke to current Mgr. stated he could not figure out why, your acct. is in good standing.Received call from Manager, stating the ******* was still on active status. Wanted her to be present and fill out another cancellation form. When I asked why in person, he said they stated it was to insure we were not committing FRAUD !!!!! I have dealt will 5 managers in a period of 1 year and 5 months. And so it goes on and on.I view it as to many variables and inconsistencies at their location.
