On January 31st, 2023 my husband and I Called Best Buy in Town Landscape out in *********, ****** to look for dirt we could purchase to fill in some areas where we removed gravel and to hopefully grow grass this spring/summer. When talking to Best Buy in Town, we spoke to a man named ****** who informed us that their fill dirt, would be a good option as it contained trace amounts of gravel, but could grow grass. They informed us that they charged $10 a yard then an additional fee to transport the dirt to our property. When the product arrived to our property it was full of garbage, logs, asphalt, and some dirt. Essentially it was trash. Our contractor did not sign for the load and advised us to call and cancel the second delivery and ask for our money back. When we called and canceled the second delivery they informed us that they would still be charging us the full $700 because they already on their way to us. When we asked for a refund due to the product not being as described they informed us that they would not issue us a refund due to only charging us for the delivery. We explained to them that we would have NEVER ordered or scheduled a delivery of trash if the product was accurately described to us. Essentially, they lied to us, then dumped trash on our land, and refused to give us a refund. On February 2nd, 2023 we disputed the charges on our credit card. On February 28th the Merchant responded to the dispute, and got off the hook on giving us a refund. On March 31st, 2023 the merchant proceeded to call us and inform us that they did not respond to the dispute, and told us we would get a full refund from our credit card company. They then proceeded to ask us for compensation (MORE MONEY) for delivery. This company full on lied to us about us getting a refund, then tried to get us to give them more money on top of what they already charged us for. It is absolutely insane and this company is committing fraud towards its costumers.
