Heaven Sent Nanny LLC Response
02/01/2024
Interesting take but I don't think this is not totally accurate. I admit I was having computer issues and I texted before our scheduled interview and let the potential candidate know that I was running behind. Her response was "No worries! Please take your time :)"
It also is not exactly accurate when you say "Despite my significant qualifications and extensive experience as a nanny" You have ZERO experience for the job you were applying too and told me that you are worth CEO rates because of your experience, but you only have 5 years of babysitting experience, and you were applying for a live-in nanny position. You told me that you are worth $125, 000 for a live-in position for 45 hours a week and you will not accept less. Which is $2600/week which is about $62 an hour. I am sorry, but that is unrealistic.
I said " I have been doing this 20 years and I know that I cannot get you $125, 000 a year with zero experience, you want a CEO salary, but you are starting off with janitor experience, I am sorry if my analogy hurt your feeling. But you have ZERO experience for the job you applied for and were demanding CEO rates. I don't know any nannies in their 20's making $125, 000 year being a LIVE-IN nanny which includes room and board.
Potential candidate said she spoke to another agency and that was the going rate. I said " if the other agency can get you $125, 000 a year with no experience, then you really need to go and work with them because I cannot even get you close to $2600/week. I wonder why she is not working with them...
You call it discussing your concerns, some may label it as something different, you were upset because you didn't like what I told you. We had already said our goodbyes and wished candidate luck, candidate was still complaining she is worth CEO rates, and I don't know what I am talking about and that I should know the going rate etc.. I did end the call because I am not going to argue or be badmouthed, so she decided to badmouth me publicly. I also received a nasty text message from her after the call was over.
Cannot make everyone happy all the time!
