my wife and i found this business on line mobile marine repair located in *************, we had an old 15hp ******* for our 12 ft smoker craft that we weren't able to get anyone to work on for us as far as tune up, so we called this gentlemen and inquired about hiring him to tune up our 15 hp *******, he quickly replied he didn't tune up those older motors because they are a 2 stroke motor,gas and oil mix ,asking him if if could recommend anyone he said not really and told us about a 25 hp ****** short shaft he had for sale, he had been sitting on it for a year and informed us he bought it from a duck hunter, asking him how much he said he had it listed for $1900.00 i offered him $1500.00 cash we settled on $1600.00 cash. We drove from ***** to meet him at his residence in ****** to pick up the motor, he had it on an engine stand with a hose hooked up so we could see it running before purchase, he informed us he had replaced the spark plugs and tuned up we were happy at the time took the motor home and parked the boat along side the house this was Sunday the 21st of April, Friday the 10th of may i was getting the boat ready to go fishing Saturday morning, i tried starting the motor with no luck doing everything common sence tells you to do, with no luck,i called him to explain the problems i was having he quickly suggested i pull the spark plugs and make sure they weren't being flooded with fuel,i told him im not a mechanic, he then sent me 2 or 3 suggestions he read off the internet on what the problems might be, he didn't offer to come over fix the problem ,just the suggestions he googled on line. Not acceptable,$1600.00 cash to see a 25 hp ****** run once for 5 minutes ,please help me if you can sincerely
