We are in receipt of the consumer complaint with the Better Business Bureau. As the complaint doesnt reference a specific account number, date of ********************** or balance we are unable to validate his complaint as we cannot identify the specific account in dispute. **************** has also not provided any personal validating information such as the last four of his social security number, date of birth or prior address to confirm his authority. The address **************** has listed on the BBB complaint in not identified in our system and we are unable to validate this dispute.

Carter-Jones Collection Service, **** has an account assigned for ********************** from ******************************* for ***********************. A validation letter was mailed per FDCPA law on 9/9/22, we received return mail and resent the validation letter on 9/26/22 with no response from ******************. On March 7th, 2024 we responded to an e-***** dispute from ******************, the account has been flagged as disputed, we validated all information reported to ***********. We have also mailed ****************** a redacted HIPAA compliant item with a dispute letter.Customer response

I paid my account, and I was told they would remove it from my credit report. Ive disputed it, and they still have not fixed it. I have proof of payment.Business response

Please be advised that yes the consumer had paid this account in full. She requested at the time of payment that the account be removed from the ************* reporting. She was told at that time we do not delete accounts from the ************* and that the account would be reported as paid and show a zero balance. That was done we reported the account is paid and has a zero balance. This account will not be deleted, as that is our policy in reporting.Initial Complaint

I am receiving collection notices from this agency. The collections have a zero balance with only an interest charge. Why am I being charged interest on a zero balance.Business response

We appreciate the information , we had a programming error that day on a batch of validation letters and the error has been corrected. The corrected validation letters with complete totals have been sent. If you would like itemization of your accounts please stop by our office
