Sept 29th 2023 I had a procedure called "necktie" done. Procedure was $6000., First off I recorded every single appointment including the consultation for accuracy. During my consult for the necktite which Dr. Darm stated I was the perfect candidate for.. Was told I could've the painless procedure done on a Friday and by Monday could go back to work. Also the results would be noticeable right away. There was no information giving about undesirable results. The proceeding which you are awake for was horrifying and very painful for weeks. The healing process has been awful, I am now 8 months out and results are terrible. I only has a double chin to remove and am now left with sagging skin which. The doctors are not honest. I have been lied to repeatedly by the performing doctor. dr. ******* I have been told over and over that this will get better. It is not getting better. My last appointment with the doctor she told me my problem is my self esteem and she cannot help me with that. She has never once "admitted" any fault which was removing to much fat. She has however offered and the office has done some free laser procedures which I have done over and over with no results. I would never have had this done if I would have known I would be spending the next 8 months in pain and also semi disfigured. This is touted by Aesthetic Medicine as a one and done, look 10 years younger over the weekend. I have hundreds of photos I can share with you and a lot more information and facts. Thank you for addressing your concerns. You and I did discuss them, Dr. Darm, ****************** and I do not feel a refund or a touch up is appropriate as not needed.
I did remind you that you are still in the early stages of healing. We have met with you on multiple occasions to evaluate the success of the procedure, evaluate your concerns and encourage you regarding post protocol procedures.
The procedure is not painless which is why numbing is performed and paid medication is prescribed after. Most patients respond well. Everyones pain tolerance is different and Im sorry that the process has been challenging for you. All of this is outlined in detail and noted in our consents, pre-operative and after care paperwork.
The provided pictures show good results. I also see that the chin strap garment was not worn correctly and could impact your results. Additionally, weight changes can alter your results.

I am rejecting this response because:I wore my chin strap as was required and even above what was required. I see you are trying to shift the blame unto me. Also I am at the same weight as I have been since I had the procedure. The pictures clearly show the loose skin and clearly shows it was not there in the before photo from your office. I want the loose skin fixed or a refund of half the cost paid.

Also lastly, your own staff have concurred with me on seeing this loose skin and as we both know, have came to you in regards of it needing more extensive treatment. Also I do know that I am not the only one who has had a undesirable outcome. I was never informed by your office that after the necktite procedure, I could still have to come back for 7-10 follow up procedures. The first experience I had was approximately a year ago. I went in for a consultation with Dr. Darm for a Mini Lift on my lower face (Just below the nose across & down) & neck. I was thrilled to hear him say no problem we will get this all taken care of for you. He took a mirror had me hold it so I could see as he put his hands on each side of my face & pulled it taught then said this is what the procedure would achieve. Which to say it fell short is an understatement. ****************** who performed the procedure got permission to redo it, after I waited 6mos for full results. During the 6mo waiting period, I called to inform them I had a big knot on the side of my face where she put threads in, they said not to worry it was normal. It actually turned out to be an infection which oozed out one night. I was antibiotics at the time for something else so they did nothing didn't even ask me to come in. 2nd procedure they did face/neck mini lift again plus ************ While under sedation of Xanax Dr. asked if I wanted fat graft on my face it would help (It didn't I actually looked like the joker from batman) The jowl area they absolutely knew was my main concern & this is where the graft was put. They used ************ pads as surgical bandages on upper/lower ************, was told those lines would disappear. Didn't check on me once after 2nd procedure. When they finally called, I was out of town on emergency I sent them an email with my concerns & called to leave messages for ****************** 3 times never once did she or anyone else respond to any of it I have spoken with 3 board certified plastic surgeons who stated the procedure they used could not ever produce results they promised Threads don't last & they would need to do a deep plane procedure. ****************** said she wanted me to be "Happy." What would have made me happy would have been honesty, but instead they cared only about the money. Between the 3 the cost was approx. $17K face graft, abs. I included ads they use.Business Response

Thank you for this information. We firmly disagree with this complaint. Your results are consistent with what Dr. Darm and the Wellness Consultant recommended and expectations were adequately discussed.
The pictures provided by you here are following significant weight loss of at least 40 pounds with lighting differences in addition to angles that are not consistent with ours and you have taken at home.
After your initial procedure, a second one was done because you wanted additional areas treated and one area retreated. You were overall happy with the first therefore proceeding with more.
Our before and after photos reflect good results. You had brought flowers into our office for ***** after she cared for you overnight because you did not have care. You had already gone through this process previously and were well aware of what was needed-a designated driver and someone to watch over you. After care is reviewed in detail but you did not follow. Our employee, ***** stayed in a motel next to the room you had established prior to procedure so she could care for you. Dr. Darm, myself and ***** helped you to get settled. ***** helped to prepare meals for you, accompanied you for outside breaks and checked on you throughout the night.We did follow up with you on multiple occasions after. You did come in for your next day and 3 week recheck but canceled appointments that followed. When you were in, you were very happy and grateful for the care you received.
We also tried to reach out further without response until months later.
Aesthetic Medicine takes pride in patient care and results provided and this was provided. We are sorry you do not agree.

No resolution has been achieved. I am willing to discuss with them, but it appears from the response as I could have predicted they are willing to admit they are wrong. I am sending you the copy of the certified letter I sent to Dr. ******************** style="font-size: 0.875rem;"> and I will also be sending BBB the copy of the paperwork I am providing to the ********** Medical Board.
I am also providing additional information or reiterating information to the response they provided. I did not lose weight after the 2nd procedure and was never told prior to or after the first one that it would make a difference as this was on the Mini lift only and besides, I paid for fillers to do the job that wasn't done in the first place as it should have been. ****************** offered and got permission as I stated before to do a 2nd Mini lift because as she said, "She wanted me to be happy" and that was the facilities goal. I stated in my letter to her, that yes, I did like everyone there and had no personal complaints about anyone individual. As far as ***** staying at the motel it was on Dr. Darm, I was left with no say so because I had not been informed, I had to have someone with me. I was only told I could not drive myself home, so I had made arrangements for that. It is the facilities practice to be polite and get your clients to feel comfortable and confident in you, so you were only doing your job. The lighting is a bright as yours, the angle is closer up and a truer image of the results. I was promised one thing, and you did not come close to it on the Mini Lift. How you can sit there and type the response you have, only goes to show your facility doesn't care about the individuals only the money it pulls in. There was one attempt to contact me not several, and when I tried to get back to you, no one ever responded. Why is that? Everything you have said is negated by the fact your doctors are promising things which cannot be delivered, and instead of being upfront and honest they lie and take people's money knowing most of them will do nothing to refute the lack of results they have stated they can provide. If you want to make a compromise on what should be reversed fine, if not know I will not only be speaking again with and have already spoken with the OMB.

I'm filing another complaint as what they have said are blatant lies. I was not happy especially after the first procedure, that is why the provided a "do over." I let them know in no uncertain terms I was not happy. I told *****. **************** (*********'s advice) I told the person who gave me filler, botox in order to get a better result because what was done was substandard. Especially for over $7000. And they charged me for those as well. I'm not going to come into the office ranting and raving about how disappointed I was, especially when i wanted it fixed or a refund. Instead I acted like the lady I am and had an adult conversations with them. I wanted to believe they weren't liars. I did not lose weight after the first procedure. So, how you are stating I don't know. Why does a doctor offer to fix something if it was done properly? They don't. They only do it when they have not done what was promised. BTW lets not forget about the infection I got by my temple, that the person who gave me botox or filler saw, and never said anything when I brought it ip. I called when I got home, because it started oozing puse that night. As far as the "redo" is concerned I complained constantly about it. I called numerous times. I told anyone and everyone I hated it. Especially the fat grafting. No one listened as usual. Why would I want to look like a chipmunk or the joker from Batman? I was told wait, your facilities favorite words "just wait" it's too early or 30 percent of it will disappear. Every single time 1st and 2nd time "just wait." As far as weight loss goes, isn't that what happens when you **** fat out of a person's body? Never have I been seen post op so how would any of you know whats going on with my stomach and flanks? Lumps, bumps, lines is whats going on. So many complaints on Yelp, Goggle, FB etc. Plastic surgeons (real ones) have said they are constantly fixing your facilities errors for "skintite" & so called "minilifts." Just over a year ago, I went to see Aesthetic Medicine for neck liposuction. After being assured that I was a good candidate for this--and hearing about how great the results would be--I made the appointment and followed all post-op instructions.I was soon concerned to discover that I had developed a large and noticeable ridge down the center of my neck, which wasn't something I had prior to my surgery. When I asked about it, a nurse told me that MANY of their patients were developing this problem post-surgery. (Then why didn't they tell me this could occur prior to my surgery?)After three months with no improvement--and with me about to move to another state--they decided (about a year ago) to do one more round of liposuction. This time, they said they had better equipment. (Then why didn't they tell me their equipment wasn't good prior to the first surgery?) They did pay for some botox, but this did nothing other than show me how they don't know what they're doing nor why I have the ridge.Now, just over a year later, I'm filing this because I was only just able to see/use a cosmetic surgeon who determined this was actually due to scar tissue. $10K later, I'm having to accept the fact that Aesthetic Medicine has scarred me for life. The neck surgery helped somewhat, but this ridge will never go away. I should be asking for $14K to cover both the surgery Aesthetic Medicine messed up and the new costmetic surgery trying to repair their damane.Business Response

Patient matter has been resolved after she spoke with three providers and management. She has a good result but after the reduction in fat removal, her platysmal band became more prominent. A lot of people have this naturally but when volume is removed and a patient is not use to seeing the band it can be unfamiliar and more prominent. Our procedure does not address platysmal bands as that would be surgical only (platysmaplasty).
We resolved the matter with patient to her satisfaction. Additionally, Aesthetic Medicine paid for her Botox treatment to soften the band that was of concern. A post treatment agreement was acknowledged and signed even though she was unable to follow up further due to her relocation to ******. We let her know that platysmal Botox would be an ongoing maintenance to keep softened in appearance.
Lastly, all of our patients results are based on the quality of the skin laxity to start. Patients are well informed and expectations are gone over in detail with a provider and documented.

I am rejecting this response because:The business does not know what it's talking about.
The cosmetic surgeon I saw explained this is NOT a platysmal band but is scar tissue. I did not have this before my procedure.
He explained, repeatedly, that he had never seen anything like it in his career.
This is a TRUE cosmetic surgeon who was voted the best in this city. The doctors who did this to me --and who did not tell me this could occur PRIOR to my surgery--are not true cosmetic surgeons. They're just doctors who learned how to use some equipment.

I am rejecting this response because:THEY are the ones who had admitted, about a year ago (after I had moved to ******), that the issues with my neck had not been resolved. (This was even after trying Botox, which did nothing.) They had seen me on camera and knew that there were no improvements, explicitly stating as much during that online meeting.
I've now spent $4,000 with them and ended up looking worse than when I arrived. I've since spent $10,000 trying to rectify the problems that they had caused.As I had heard AFTER the fact that many people ended up with these strange ridges/lines down the middle of their necks after having this procedure, the largest problem is that they knew problems were occurring and chose not to inform me of those problems. This denied me the right to make an informed decision.

I am rejecting this response because: This business is telling a Bold-Faced Lie. During my last meeting--via Zoom--with them, THEY were the ones who admitted that my neck had shown no improvement. My neck is still in worse shape than it was PRIOR to my having this procedure. Despite all of their attempts to distract, there are some facts that cannot be denied.1. I learned AFTER THE **** that I was one of many patients who now had these new, vertical ridges down the centers of our necks after having this procedure done. (No, it's not a platysmal band. Botox didn't help. Had I known this might occur, I wouldn't have moved forward with the procedure. All they told me was how well I would look.)
2 I learned AFTER MY INITIAL APPOINTMENT that the equipment they used on me for that first appointment wasn't as good as what they started using for later appointments. Had I know that the first equipment was sub-par, I wouldn't have moved forward with the procedure.
3. During my last meeting with them, via Zoom, THEY were the ones who admitted that there had been no improvement with my neck even after trying the Botox.
The biggest lie of all was that they said they'd never let me be an unhappy client. I'm wishing I could go back in time and stop myself from being scarred for life by them.I'm still demanding a refund. It is, truly, the very least they could do.

In 2019 I paid $3,000.00 for a 3 session package. This was to include use of laser and liquid nitrogen on my lower legs and face at each session. On my second session they said they ran out of liquid nitrogen, and they would do it "another time" Covid then hit and I have a spouse with cancer and didn't feel safe making 3rd appointment until now. When I called to make 3rd appointment now, they told me the package was "unfortunately expired" There was never any mention of an expiration date when purchased, nor any attempt to notify me of same. I understand your frustration with the expiration and appreciate your circumstances. The paperwork does state the packages expire after one year. However, we do honor our packages two years for patients to use after date of purchase and/or first treatment. It has been been over 3 plus years since you purchased and over 2 1/2 years since last treatment. I do apologize that for your first session we did not have the liquid nitrogen but it is not typically performed at the first treatment and you did receive two treatments for liquid nitrogen following your first and only one liquid nitrogen treatment is included in a package. You did complete one package and there would only one left in the remaining package for the laser portion of the treatment. If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please give me a call. I'm open to honoring the last treatment but I would like to explain how the packages work, what is included, etc.

I had droopy eye lids and a fat neck. My eyes were hard to keep open especially when I was tired. My neck was so big that I could not wear my jewelry anymore. I saw an ad for *********** aesethetic medicine and decided to see if they could help me. I called and made an appointment and I bought a package deal. They talked me into a lot more than I had gone into get. I had thought that it was not possible to get lipo and the skin would stick back to the muscle underneath. I was assured this would happen. It did not. I was told that the Morpheus treatment would be the answer to this issue at least with my face and that the other areas would come along and to wear compression garment etc. it is now a year after last procedure. I am so depressed. My stomach looks deflated and wrinkly. My sides of my face are numb. I have called many times to find out what to do. I emailed they dont answer me. My eyes and neck are pretty good still.. but the part that they convinced me would look great. Does not look great. I looked better right after my fourth child was born. I have continued to wear compression underthings but it is painfully obvious this far out that liposuction was not for me. I should have been referred for a tummy tuck mommy make over type thing. I dont know what to do. I am so depressed. It looks just awful and my doctor told me that the only thing that will fix it is a tummy tuck at this point. The dont do tummy tucks at this place so they cannot fix it. Also the treatment I had done on my face that feels like someone is stapling your whole face row by row. Did absolutely nothing to help. They did tell me that they recommend it be repeated yearly but I dont see the point to do something that didnt work. I got sick and had to have surgery and the doctor who did the breast reconstruction told me that they should not have recommended lipo to me at my age and skin type.
