      On 7/23/2023 my husband and I paid the owner **** over $2,000 as a deposit for two custom couches to be made by him and his wife. We were told ***** week lead time and assured we would have the product delivered by or before then. On 8/26/2023 I reached out to ask what the *** was and was told a couple more weeks. On 9/9/2023 I reached out again, and asked for pictures to see the progress of the couches. I was told it was built and would be getting its upholstery soon. They would for sure be ready in the next couple of weeks. On 10/19/2023 my husband called to find out the status of the couches. He was given the run around by **** yet again, and told another 2-3 weeks. I called to ask why they were not done per our agreement and **** started screaming at me on the phone. He said there were eight orders ahead of ours and at best we would have the couches by Thanksgiving! He was incredibly rude, hysterically yelling and saying I know its ALLLLLL about you and being completely belligerent saying three people had quit and he didnt have anyone but himself and his wife to fulfill the orders. He refused to send pictures of our couches and when I said this could have all been avoided if hed just called us to let us know what was going on he told me to save it. At this point I told him I wanted my deposit back and would not be needing the couches. As of now, he has provided NO evidence they are even in production. He is refusing to refund us despite me sending him a screen shot of our credit card statement charge.

      she was very rude yesterday and demanded a refund. I asked her for the invoice as I was driving in traffic. I do not steal and rip people off. Maybe was rude because she was very very rude. She has been paid now so I dont know what else to do. She is very mean and childish

      **** is denying any culpability for his action. I was not rude nor was I childish. I demanded an answer because since August we have asked for updates on our order status and have been blown off and given falsie information. We have consistently been told 2-3 weeks. We have requested pictures which he has said he would do but never did. When we place the order in July, we were given a 10 to 12 week deadline. When I spoke with **** in October on the 16th, we were passed that deadline, and he told me at best I would have my order by Thanksgiving, but they were still a couch is the head of mine. With that being the case yes I did request our money back. I was never rude, only firm. My husband was also on the call and will attest to my account of the event. **** was screaming and yelling, and when I told him all of this couldve been avoided, if he had just let us know the status of the couches I was told to save it I have attached a picture of further communication where **** has claimed my review was unfair, and when I told him I stood by my review, he called me a witch

      Yes, I was refunded by ****. That said, he contacted my husband via text to tell him I was being mean and called me a witch for standing by my Yelp review of his behavior.

      Mafes Mall (also M and M Creative Upholstery) sells refurbished furniture. I was looking at a table online and was told by the owner that he had an unfinished version at the warehouse I could check out. I went to the warehouse to view the unfinished table ($600) and decided to also put a deposit down for unfinished chairs as well ($500). I put 1/2 down that day ($550) after explicitly being told that Id pay the rest upon delivery, assuming I wanted to keep them. Both the table and chairs were totally unfinished and I was assured by **** that the table and chairs would look brand new when completed and that the purchase was risk free if I didnt like the finished product or didnt want it for another reason since he could just sell it in the store. I put down half of the purchase price ($550 on 9/11/2023) after being assured that if I did not like or want the final product that it was ok. However, before I received the table and chairs (9/18/2023) I decided I did not want to purchase the table and chairs and let **** know. He was incredibly rude and changed the terms of the purchase, telling me that they dont do returns on chairs because I picked out the upholstery (though many times after that I was assured it was all risk free if I did not ultimately want it). He did let me return the table and returned $50. He dropped off unfinished chairs for me that did not all have the finished stain, had water and paint stains, dents, and missing caps. I let **** know about the issues and he told me that I was quite dramatic and suggested I go to ACE Hardware. He also told me that I am a grown up and that I made a grown up decision. I put a deposit down for furniture after being told that it was refundable and that they would be quality finished products, neither of which were true. I now have unfinished chairs and **** is unwilling to finish them or provide a refund for the damaged product.
