The date of this transaction was 2/19/2022 & 2/20/2022. We had a verbal contact with **************** to do clean up and maintenance of our property. He was to provide a crew of 5 men for 2 full days. He was to clean up designated areas of the property of ivy and old, dead plants and shape healthy bushes. He was to omit some bushes of any work, and these were clearly pointed out. **************** did show up on time on the morning of 2/19/2022 but with only half a crew. He did not take care when trimming the bushes or the ivy. He killed the ivy that was on the brick wall - he was clearly told to trim but be mindful of where the roots were when trimming the ivy because we wanted it to remain cascading over the wall. He was to trim healthy bushes, instead he hacked them and many died. He and his crew did not trim or take care of the extensive ivy patch that was to be shaped and cleaned, taking out any debris. He and his crew of 3 men only worked for 5 hours and then said he was done. Instead of taking out patches of ivy, he sprayed them with a substance that smelled extremely bad. At that point he considered the job done. When we were able to go out and inspect the yard (**************** said not to go into the yard for two hours after he sprayed) we discovered all the damage. Unfortunately, I had paid him before the inspection. I immediately sent a text to **************** telling us that the work was not done correctly and he needed to come back. He replied that he would show up the next morning.After a heated discussion, *************** agreed to an adjusted price of $1200 for work done and said he would issue us a refund. We had paid $3200. To date, we have not received the refund.Business response

IN REGARDS TO THIS CLIENT REGARDING POOR WORK AS SHE DICRIBES VERBAL CONVERSATION WERE COMMUNICATED BETWEEN PARTIES AND DAUGTHER OF PARTIES ON AMOUNT OF CHARGE FOR WORK AND ALL DEBRIES HALL OF EXTRA WORK WAS DONE AT THIS LOCATION AT NO EXTRA CHARGE .WHILE THE BIGEST HEAD ACHE WAS THE HUSBAND TELLING ***** WHAT SHOULD BE DONE OR NOT .HUSBAND ALWAYS BY WINDOW LOOKING AT EMPLOYEES WORK AT ALL **** THEN SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD **** TO HAVE COME OUTSIDE AND ADREESS ANY ISSUES.IT WAS AT **** THEY PAID THEIR INVOICE THAT THEY STARTED TO ACT UP THEN RESULTING IN DEFAMING ARE COMPANY ALL OVER INTERNET AS ACCUSING ** OF THAKING ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY PEOPLE WHEN HALF OF ARE CLIENTS ARE IN UPPER AGE NEVER HAS ARE COMPANY IN ANY WAY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ANY ONE LET A LONE ELDERLY COMMUNITY WHEN HALF THE **** ELDERLY PEOPLE GET FREE SERVICES .AT THE END OF ARE HEATED CONVERSATION THE HUSBAND WAS RUDE YELLED AT ALL CREW MEMBERS WITCH COST ME 2 EMPLOYEES TO QUIT DUE TO HIS VERY AGRESIVE WAYS THE *** WAS DONE AS PER ARE CONVERSATION .Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The majority of what was written is not true. 1) I paid as soon as the invoice was submitted. Unfortunately, I paid before inspecting the yard as I was following Mr. ********************** instructions to avoid bringing poison into our home.2) No one confronted Mr. ********************** employees. Our discussion about the work and damage was out of hearing distance from anyone as it took place in our driveway at the backyard gate. The one employee we saw was in the street smoking and was told by **************** to get back in their vehicle. Any loss of employees was not because of anything done by us.
3) My husband, Mr. ***** was a party to the agreed upon work and actually did speak with **************** about certain plants. One in particular that had buds. **************** was asked not to cut anything off that ****. Mr. Tool was ignored and the **** was badly damaged and all the buds were destroyed.
4) I sent **************** two different requests for the agreed upon refund of $2,000 and both were ignored. *************** was notified that if the refund was not received in a specified amount of time, I would indeed be leaving reviews on various internet sites.
5) we are senior citizens and do believe **************** is taking advantage of us by not issuing the agreed upon refund.
6) No extra work was done at all. It is not possible because **************** estimated the work would take at least 2 full days and he claimed to be finished in only 5 hours.
This issue can easily be resolved if **************** would keep his word and issue the $2,000 refund. He agreed to adjust the price and only charge us $1200 for the 5 hours of work. We just want to be treated honestly and fairly.
