Today July 1st, I had gone to get my car services with an oil change, and air filter replacement. I had mentioned that my fuel door switch was not working and I needed to use the cable in the trunk in order to open my fuel door. I was charged $165 for an hour of labor for this one issue in addition to my other charges wrong for me assuming that this charge would be rolled into the part order and fixing it once they found the issue especially since what I was requesting seemed like such a simple issue I'm just not the most informed on cars to be able to find out whats wrong on my own. Mind you my car was in for an oil change already. I sat there waiting and watched my car get pulled in and started to work on the time my drivers side door was open and actively being worked on was maybe 10mins if I'm being generous and I was informed the switch was bad and would need to be replaced they could order the part from a ******* dealership near by and install it for an additional $230. So a total of $165 for the full hour diagnostic on my fuel door switch and $230 for a part and instal. To me that seems absurd since I already paid for an hour of labor that clearly was not even used my car was in for over an hour but I was paying for my oil change and the work done for the fuel door switch was probing it and running electricity through the probe to confirm the line was still operable. I of course denied the repair and order of the part. I already felt I was being over charged for this and I could order the part myself for under $30. So $200 in labor for another 5-10min fix was out of the question. It is unlikely I will be taking my cars back here.
