The date was 9/12/22 Left a message on 9/11 Hired Northwest Septic Services Inc. to come out to PUMP OUT SEPTIC TANK. We informed him we didnt know where said tank was. Renter of property found tank. Found out it was a metal tank and a shed was over it. Northwest WOULD NOT pump the septic tank. Northwest Septic on this day only cleaned out approximately 10 of septic line. In the process also sucked the clean out cap as well. Charged ****** for cleaning out sewer line. WHEN THE REASON FOR THE CALL WAS TO PUMP THE SEPTIC OUT!!! These charges were extreme and out of the normal range for this type of work.(******) Especially when the work wasnt done and had to have another company come out and pump septic with no problems. (******). I tried to talk to ***** (said owner) about this. I communicated that the charges were pretty extreme for not having what needed to be done. SEPTIC PUMPED. I reiterated we needed our septic tank pumped NOT our pipes cleaned!! He stood by the charges. These are outrageous charges for a job that wasnt done. A ****** job turned into ****** job. (Which the other company came and did it without any problems).

      Business response

      09/28/2022

Northwest Septic Service was not contacted nor contracted by ********************* to pump out septic tank.  On 9/12/22 Northwest Septic Service was contacted by *************************** at ********************************************, because the sewer was backing up into the house. ******************* begged Northwest Septic Service to assist because she contacted multiple companies with no response. Northwest Septic Service advised ******************* our schedule was completely full but could respond on an after hours basis only. Northwest Septic Service advised ******************* of the minimum costs to respond on an after hours basis. ******************* advised she was the renter and would be responsible for payment. ******************* verbally agreed to such terms.

Northwest Septic Service arrived on 9/12/22 at 5:30pm and observed sewage spilling onto the ground and indications ******************* had attempted to locate and uncover the septic tank. Northwest Septic Service attempted to locate the septic tank via probe and shovel. After approximately 30 minutes attempting to locate the septic tank, it was decided to clean the sewer line and sewage spill so ******************* could use the plumbing fixtures. Northwest Septic Service then proceeded to remove the obstructions in and clean the sewer line with a combination of high pressure hydro-jetting and vacuum. Once the sewer line was cleaned, Northwest Septic Service was able to identify the location of the septic tank. The septic tank was located under a shed. By no fault of Northwest Septic Service, the septic tank could not be pumped without the removal of the illegally placed shed (see OAR ************ for rules regarding placement of any structure with septic systems). ******************* and her partner advised they would proceed with the removal of the shed and would contact Northwest Septic Service once the shed was removed and/or once the septic tank was accessible. Northwest Septic Service was onsite for a total of 1 hour and 25 minutes. Northwest Septic Service discounted the after hours response fee and only charged for 1 hour onsite. ******************* paid for services rendered.

On 9/13/22 ******************* contacted Northwest Septic Service and advised the septic tank was accessible. Northwest Septic Service could not respond to pump the septic tank on 9/13/22 and recommended ******************* contact T&L Septic to see if they could respond quicker. ******************* later contacted Northwest Septic Service to advise she was able to get another septic pumping company to respond and pump the septic tank. This was the final contact with ********************

On 9/21/22 Northwest Septic Service was contacted by a *********************. This was the first and only contact with *****************. ***************** asked questions about the services rendered at ******************** in **** ****** and stated she was the owner of the property. Northwest Septic Service explained what was done and discussed the invoice for such services. ***************** expressed her disappointment with the charges occurred for the after hours response on 9/12/22.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

The said accounts from Northwest Septic were and are inaccurate. They ARE NOT the ones that located the septic tank. They could not locate it hence the pumping ONLY of the pipe. The call was for emptying septic tank. When called back after tenant located septic tank and its location, Northwest septic said couldnt service tank for a shed was on it and it was a metal tank. IF having a shed over the septic tank and it being a metal tank. Why did they do anything? Again. Northwest was asked to pump septic. Not clean out pipe. The charges were/are Inflated and astronomical for the actual work that was done. I feel Northwest should be compensated  accordingly for what they actually did. Pump out a pipe. Recipes will show. The pumping by another company was cheaper then the pumping of the one pipe Northwest did.
