It was November 2021, I called Gordons and mentioned it was not an emergency, but my heating was not working I was ok using my pellet stove. On 11/24/21 I received a phone call, the technician said he was in town and asked if I could meet at my house.I was less than 10 miles away and said yes, I would meet at my house. Told him it might be a fuse. He got to my house and called me again, I was within 5 miles by then, he asked to check my breaker inside I was hesitant, because I have housecats, but told him I would be right there and he could enter.Before I even got home, he had flipped the breaker and left.All this within 15 minutes of a phone call.The business charged me TWO HOURS And claims I owe for the ONE HOUR DRIVE and I have told the business multiple times I will pay for ONE hour which is more than fair since they DID NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.DID NOT GIVE AN ESTIMATE OR A QUOTE BEFOREHAND.They are asking for $190.00 and I have offered to pay half which is more than fair since they called and did not schedule with me, nor did they provide a quote or an estimate.This business has laughed at this complaint and told me to call the owner. They refused to resolve this amicably and I should not have to pay for a one hour drive when THEY CALLED ME and said they were ALREADY in town!
