On March 5th I came to Beggs tire and wheel to get tires on my truck before a cross country move with a travel trailer. They did not look at the size of tires on my truck or the door sticker and replaced my rear duallys which are 235/85 r16 with new tires that were sized 265/75 r16. The tires were too wide and caused my truck tires to blow out once they got hot. I was nearly killed along with my girlfriend and dog descending from Lake Tahoe on March 8th at 2:16pm. I was in the middle of nowhere and no assistance was offered from Beggs. And I was forced to go to 3 tire shops to get repaired and back on the road for a total cost of $925. I paid $350 for tires from Beggs and after 5 days will offer no assistance other than a partial refund of $250

      To Whom it may concern,

In response to the complaint filed by ****************. This is the chain of events and the facts of the transaction. **************** came to us to have used tires he owned installed on his truck. As is customary, we inspected the tires and found the *** date codes to range from 7 to 13 years in age. We do not install used tires that greater than 5 years old. He attempted to persuade us that he was ok with the dates and that he had run these tires on this truck previously. It is not uncommon for tires of a different size other than the *** fitment to be run on vehicles. He specifically asked for tires of the same size to be provided. Since he claimed that he had run the tires he brought with him previously. He was unable to pay for new tires, so we offered the exact same size tire he had brought with him in a more current dated used tire at a cost of $250.00 for 4 tires installed. He elected to dispose of the tires he brought with him and the $50.00 difference paid was a disposal fee. **************** called us in regards to his concern and unfortunately the person able to offer a refund was out of the store attending to personal matters. **************** called several times and was very crude and belligerent demanding that his new tires be fully reimbursed. Upon the return of the store owner he was called and offered a refund. He did not purchase new tires in the beginning and he was made whole in the purchase amount paid to us. He now has the benefit of having new tires on his vehicle and he will benefit from that investment.

the claims by the business are completely untrue. The tires brought were the same size as on the truck 235 85 r16 which I verified before taking the tires as I had already been told by another shop that 265 75 r16 would not fit. Nothing was said about them coming off this specific truck, they came off another truck from a coworker after I had previously been warned by another company that the 265 75 r16 snow tires I had were too wide and would rub and blow out. I told the business to put the same tires the truck had on it back on. I would have happily chosen another business for tires had I known that my life would be in jeopardy by choosing to do business with beggs. Additionally the comments about crude language are a classic example of gaslighting and shifting blame no profane language was used to them I simply requested that they make this right by refunding my purchase cost and helping to pay for part of the emergency repair **** when I was stranded in the middle of the desert. I chose Beggs based on a price offered and had numerous other reputable companies to choose from however Beggs was unable to do the basics of checking tire sizes before replacing. The tires they replaced with are standard for most light duty trucks, however those tires will not fit on a dually and a professional tire shop should know this. I dealt with 3 shops during my repair process and all of them took one look at the tires and noticed the problem immediately.  Additionally there are door stickers on the truck stating the tire size. It is not standard practice to replace rear duallys with a different size and this kind of attitude is likely to result in dead people as a result of Beggs tires incompetence.
