            Purchased a 2007 Kia ****** from dealership that was listed online. Business owner, *****, states that the vehicle was in good working condition despite only the A/C not working, but that he had not driven the car himself to check for mechanical issues. The car was driven to my home location in ***** from the dealership in ******** (approximately 30 miles only) and roughly half way though the drive the car started to overheat and smoke from the passenger side. A loud knocking noise came from the engine and the car will start but not run. Had a friend of mine, who is a mechanic, come over and look at the engine where it was noted a rod was lose. Have tried contacting ***** multiple times where he first stated he would buy the car back if we paid for the tow to the dealership. ***** then went back on his word, argued greatly and stated he would not buy the car back. We are looking to return the car in the same condition it was received for our money back. Transaction date was 12/18/2022 and payment amount was $3700.
