On August 5, 2024, Better Business Bureau investigated Abbot, Brown & Associates' business practices. This investigation was prompted by complaints alleging that consumers are receiving phone calls from Abbot, Brown & Associates about overdue debt that has accumulated interest, and some consumers allege they are urged to pay the debt over the phone at that moment.

 

On August 5, 2024, BBB checked the website https://www.abbotbrown.com/ to determine when it was created and where it was registered. The website was created on November 27, 2023, and is registered in Iceland.

 

According to Oregon Secretary of State, businesses operating in Oregon need to be registered with the Secretary of State. Abbot, Brown & Associates does not have an Oregon registration.
