Paid Asterix $40 to replace nose pads; I was sold thin, plastic push-on pads that became uncomfortable after 20 minutes and the right pad would not stay on. Contacted Asterix was told they would have to order the correct pads; waited a month, no call, reached out; was told another 2 weeks; gave them 4 more weeks; no call, had to follow up again. Finally admitted they were not able to order the correct pads. Discussed alternative which would require replacing the nose piece and another $25. I liked the existing nose piece and preferred to keep it if possible. Fortunately, I found another repair person that attached standard silicone pads to the existing nose piece; charged $14; took 10 minutes to fix; appears he had to clamp them down a little more than usual, I presume due to the arms being cut down, but made it work. Asked Asterix for a refund, as they had not done what I paid them to do. Was told no b/c they had spent time cutting down the arms of the nose piece. I hadn't asked for this; I simply put my trust in them as they had held themselves out as the experts. Also felt the right arm had been cut down too much which was causing their nose pad to fall off. After much back and forth, was offered partial refund, which I felt was not fair since I had to go elsewhere to get done what I had paid them to do.
