This company disregards Oregon law. My husband passed away and we only had to do a ************* Affidavit. This company persistently asked for letters testamentary or letters of administration, which the court does not provide during a simple estate process. They did not try to investigate this with their legal team either, to remedy the situation. If you are doing business in ******, do better with Oregon law!Unitus Community Credit Union Response

We have been with them for over fifty years (starting with Telco Credit Union). Although we live in *******, I have ALWAYS been treated with respect and dignity. Everyone has always been super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend these folks and especially ***************************** at the ****************** Branch. He made things so easy for ** on our latest loan. Look forward to meeting him in person when next we visit the ******** area.Review from Racgel R

If could leave 0 stars I would. This is the worst credit lender ive ever dealt with. After getting covid twice and having to take my grandchild in to raise my bills fell slightly behind and I got a car payment behind and I was approx 2 weeks late on my next payment they threatened to cone reposses my car. They refuse any compassion and empathy for a person that hits hard times . They have lost all integrity . Refusing to show that they can be personable to their customers . It's 2cweeks away from Christmas. They offer no help of any kind to assist their clients. Just threats . This is a horrible place . Rude people work here that think they are better than you and let it show. People like these will fall on hard times themselves some day unexpected things happen to everyone shame on you guys for being so cruel in your business dealings .shame on you for not at least pretending you give a s*** about your clients . I have a complaint against ******** **** at this bank, he has allowed a hate crime against me and I know it because there's record history where I've complained to him that I feel discriminated against because Im black. His disrespect towards my complexion have allowed him to let ****** in the finance company to illegslly sabotose me by laying to the credit beaua when she reported me saying that I owe over fourteen thousand right after my car insurance made a settlement and paid then a little over eleven thousand making my balance in between four and three thousand. ****** have knowingly, deliberately, and willfully broken the law and ruined my chances to get a loan or financed. I've gotten several letters from financing companies that shows that Unitus had reported that I owe a little over 14 thousand. No finance company or car dealership wants to touch me why? Because ******* **** has allowed the finance department to commit this hate crime against me. ****** have motive to sabotose me this way because in 2019 she denied me for getting a loan then I went over her head speaking directly with ************************* and he over turned her decision and given me a loan. So ****** has attacked me with this matter by being dishonest and messing my life around. ******* High and ****** is refusing to let me speak with the owner, They're violating my human rights to complain to the owner of this bank and it's apparent that they're treating me funny and have broken the law illegally sabotosing my credit with the untruth and I need BBB to open up an investigation, I want criminal charges filed I want to *** and I want ****** and ******* **** Jailed.Unitus Community Credit Union Response

Unitus disagrees with everything stated in this complaint other than the fact that Mr. ******* had a loan with our credit union. We have verified that all payments received from any source have been correctly applied, and we have verified that any reporting to any consumer reporting agency is accurate. Mr. ******* has not provided the Credit Union with any information that would indicate otherwise. If Mr. ******* has any information to show that Unitus has made any error in handling his loan, we would gladly consider it. Unitus has dealt with Mr. ******* fairly, honestly, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. His slanderous statements against Unitus employees are completely false.Review from Heidi S

Last Black Friday, I tried to make a purchase with my Unitus card. Unitus thought it was fraud even though I confirmed via text that I was the one making the purchase. Unitus shut my card off anyway and they were closed for the holiday weekend, so I reached out to **** and Unitus call centers multiple times and they still didn't turn my card back on. I finally was able to have my card turned on the following Tuesday. I missed out on every Black Friday deal and this caused a major pain on my family-ruining Christmas-the last good thing we had to look to forward in 2020. I asked to speak to a manager and I ended up speaking with **************, who is managing Unitus call centers in *********, **. ***** decided that she was not going to help me before she even picked up the phone. She told me I should've just reached out to Unitus via webchat. If I had known it was going to take speaking with almost a dozen people to get one thing taken care of, I would have never joined this CU. ***** was very rude on the phone and told me I had to show her proof all the deals I missed out on. It was days after the holiday so all of the ads were gone. She offered me a low-ball of $50 and I couldn't believe it. I refused to accept and ***** still refused to help. I asked to speak to her boss and she snapped "ok, I'll see who's available!" And she shoves me off the phone. I spoke with ******* boss, ****- who was the only person who would actually offer assistance. I could not believe that a manager of a credit union treated their customer with such disrespect and no empathy. I will be closing my acct with Unitus, just because of this experience. I don't know why ***** is in a managerial position or why Unitus let this get so out of hand. We know the holidays can be a stressful time, particularly when there is timeline or urgency to purchase items that are on sale for a limited time. Since this time, we have made enhancements to our card controls, cross-trained staff, and communicated more frequently how to contact card services after-hours. Although we ultimately ensured the member was able to purchase the black Friday specials, we do apologize for causing additional stress during this time.
