I went in to Portland Dental to get an exam and a quote on two crowns that I wanted. The exam went great and pictures were taken. I was given an estimate on what I would pay after my insurance. I agreed to our around $2790 and they estimated insurance at $1500 we decided to schedule in the following weeks. The day I came in for the procedure, *** the billing lady said Hey I talked with your insurance and theyre willing to cover $1219.32. A few hundred difference than what I was quoted but I was okay with that and decided to move forward with the procedure because I was there. After we were done. I went to the front desk. The original quote had $500 buildup for each tooth (total of $1000 which the dentist said we did not have to do so they minus that. I paid a total of $1760 at the counter and was told I would owe $96 when I come in to have the final crowns put in. I agreed, came in the day of my crown appointment weeks later paid the $96 and was told ** paid in full. Then weeks if not months later I get a call from them saying insurance did not pay and that I owe the balance in full. I asked about *** talking to them where they completely brushed it off. Then I asked about getting the documents I had signed before the procedure showing the estimates which theyve completely refused to send. To this day I do not have them. She instead sent me my treatment plan saying that should be satisfactory although it is not the documents I asked for. After some time going back and fourth I was able to speak to a manager who agreed to knock of part of the balance. $219.32 to make it an even $1,000. We agreed to a payment plan of $50 a month until I could pay off the balance because I just had a child and money was pretty tight. Ive put a card on file and left it. Fast forward to today they are saying they have not received any payments and they have added $45 in interest. They are using full practice to get people to go through with their services then turning it around.

***, who has been a point of contact for me on the desk has consistently been dismissive, condescending and has misrepresented information to me many times. I am a person who likes to be informed before making decisions, so I worked in coordination with the office to understand what was needed to perform seating my implant before my insurance benefits ended at the end of the year 2022. I made an informed decision to go in and have the final crown seated and when I was in their office - in the chair, they began to change the parameters by which I made my decision. They misrepresented contacting my insurance company, misrepresented payment from my insurance company & misrepresented the agreement that we had in place. I know this from correspondence from my insurance company. I phoned into Portland Dental on June 29th to make another appointment because the tooth next to where they seated the crown appears to be cracked and I am in great pain. I was told by *** that I could not be seen. When I asked to have my files so that I could find another dentist to be able to help me she insisted they could only send the records to another dental office and would not send them to me. I pushed to have the files sent to me and she requested an email be sent her for the request. The email request was sent on June 29, 2023 at 1:09 pm and received an email confirmation from them regarding the request on the same day at 3:23 pm that they had received the request to provide me with my dental records. Their delay in providing these records, which I believe to be intentional, has caused me undo pain waiting with an aching cavity they were alerted to when I called on June 29th. Legally they are required to provide them within 14 calendar days and I have still not received all records as of July 25th. I left a message with *** for ************* to phone me on June 29th and never heard from him.
