In the first week of February, I called to cancel my membership due to a car accident I was in and was told I had to go in person to sign. I explained I was in a car accident and it would be difficult to get this done with all Im dealing with. The gal said to hurry in before the annual fee was charged to my bank. I struggled to get in and the charge was applied. On 3/29/24 at approximately 11:00am, Went in to cancel my membership. I asked to have the fee reversed because of the difficulty getting in due to a car accident. The manager said there was no way for this to be done. While I was talking, he started having a full conversation with a member that came in after me and had checked in. He clearly was not listening to me as I was just starting to explain what he had asked about. I asked why he stopped listening to me and started having a whole different conversation. He said he was multi tasking, go figure it out. Rude treatment from a manager that said he didnt care I felt that I was receiving bad customer service. I was trying to offer him advice on how to not treat customers this way, he said he didnt care what I would have to say. He then threatened to call the police and walked away into an office when I started recording how he was talking to me. I asked for the number for his boss since he claimed to be the location manager. When I asked another employee behind the desk for a phone number, he claimed to not be an employee, he just cleans the gym. I asked why he was behind the desk wearing planet fitness uniform. He denied being an employee multiple times.
