I purchased a chian saw from parkrose hardware I took the saw home I started cutting wood with it them something when wrong the chainsaw bar ********'s a way putting my self on to tremendous danger of cutting my self i call the hardware I let them know what just happened they told me to take the saw back the fallowing morning them they would not replace the defective saw for a new one or refund my money ****** they blame on running the saw with the brakes on but i call the manufacturer I explained what happened the said the particular saw will not run or cut wood with the brakes on I would like you guy help me resolve thisBusiness response

STIHL (the manufacturer) did not tell the person what he is claiming! They are very clear that the saw is not under warranty because of negligence of this person (we are actually in contact with the decision maker for STIHL power products). We went the extra mile and ate the labor to repair the saw replacing the clutch that he burned up, only asking he cover the cost of the clutch. This was not acceptable to him even though we went the extra mile. ....Bottom line, he is welcome to come and get his saw and we will also eat the cost of the clutch costing him nothing for all the repair work. UNDER NO circumstances will we replace the saw he was responsible for damaging! Eating the repair is way more than enough! The Store manager, Assistant manager and Rental manager are all **** of this very generous gesture on our part and I will also put a note on the saw. We would like him to come get his saw ASAP.
I would ask that this person not frequent our stores again!
