I am a individual psychotherapist with a small private practice that I operate as a dba. To improve productivity and efficiently manage complex insurance claim matters, I obtained billing management support through UR Billing Solutions, LLC (****). In the introduction/orientation process, I shared that I began the goal of expanding into a group practice. I shared that future business objective to assess ****'s capacity to manage larger accounts once I achieve that end. I specifically explained that I need to first address the multiple billing issues within my current operating individual practice, which I have been managing on my own. Once that has been more seamlessly resolved, I would be able to give attention to expanding to the group practice. The **** owner was enthusiastic about supporting my practice and educated me about the various services which I knew would be helpful and valuable in getting my administrative needs organized. I emphasized the difference in my businesses as not to confuse tax identification numbers and other practice identifying issues. I was told there would be a provider service fee of $5000 with a provider fee of $500 a month. The retainer was quoted as $300. I was told that once **** worked on my billing for a month they would be able to assess their fee better and at that time a fee adjustment could be made. I take full accountability for signing and entering the contract agreement with a severely different interpretation of how the fees were structured. Upon receiving the first month's invoice, I paid what I thought was the monthly provider fee of $500 towards the $5000 provider service fee. It was after that **** shared more clearly that my full monthly fee was $5500.00 which is based on a group practice contract agreement that far exceeds the monthly revenue of my current individual practice. I was met with limited flexibility in my request to amicably restructure the contract for my individual practice or terminate the contract.

I wasn't apart of the initial sign on with Moyosore but I did take part of meetings and emails between the two. From my understanding, Yes Moyosore is an individual practice but we were helping start up her group practice. The first three months was for her to get her group business some clinician's and so we could start credentialing. I can recall URBS bringing up clinician/credentialing 3 times in the month of May alone. The last meeting was 05/27 we asked again and she stated she hadn't even started. That meeting was AFTER her receiving her Welcome letter where it states in the first paragraph of what the total services. I wasn't even aware there was an issue of the amount until June 8th and seeing emails. I was on vacation from May 31 2022 - June 7th.

      Complaint: 17419767

I am rejecting this response because:

Thank you for acknowledging your limited involvement and for confirming that I am operating as a sole practitioner. My billing service request was to initially address my billing needs as a sole provider in the ********************.  URBS offered a clearer fee assessment after one month of service.  Once that was streamlined and fluid the work of developing the group practice would be feasible at a later date. All of my identifying information (i.e. EIN, NPI) on the contract is under my dba which again is in **. The welcome letter dated May 16th after the contract start date of May 1st is referring to a business contract with an out of state business entity that doesn't exist and that my "...extension did not include the next steps for the private practice in **." There was clearly misinterpretations on both ends. What is URBS's service fee for individual practitioners?

      Sincerely,

      Moyosore Paupau *******

      Complaint: 17419767

I am rejecting this response because:

Thank you for laying out the information you have. While it is correct that I have started the administrative process of developing a group practice that is registered in CT, there is no business activity, current patient treatment or medical insurance billing that is being done under that entity. URBS is aware and confirmed that I am currently operating under the dba EIN/NPI as a sole practitioner. I was seeking the initial service to streamline my current billing management needs to better service the expansion into a group practice at a later date.   There is no dispute that billing management services are a critical and valuable part to a well run medical practice. I just want to make sure the service fees are actually in line and comparable to my current practice size and revenue stream. To be accountable and close out the contract, I am willing to pay an adjusted service fee for a single provider between May 1st to June 10th. What is URBS's service fee for a practitioner in a individual practice?

      Sincerely,

      Moyosore Paupau *******

URBS will not answer ANYmore questions. URBS have been sent over to BBB

      1. Original Contract

2 Extension  Contract of the Original

      3. Retainer Fee Agreement

      4. Welcome Letter that outlines what URBS will be doing for the Client and the Fee for the service

URBS has internind all questions from From Now  Become and our Contract stands a contract is a contract and that should be honored. URBS goes over each contract with each potential Client. URBS also lets potential Clients know if they still have questions around the contract getting a better understanding they can seek out legal representation to assist them on what they have agreed to. URBS do not blind sight anyone we stand by our word NO hidden charges or fees Also, no contract is signed until both parties agree.

URBS feels the Client is stalling holding out. It is not our responsibility to do any research for the Client yet URBS did out of loyalty and find a solution to the concern that should have been addressed before you sign.

URBS has not added another process for Potential Clients. We will be asking for 3 months of bank statements which show proof that we can pay the agreed upon amount. URBS will no-longer take just your words. All contracts have to be signed in front of a notary. This way it's been reviewed one more time in front of a  license notary so there will be three witnesses.  With this said, URBS will also move forward and request a deposit which will be refundable after 3 years of service if Client do decide to leave.  If Client decides to stay after 3 years then the deposit is void.  This will ensure if any matter does arise  we can still operate as we figure things out with no interruption. URBS respects our Clients and we want to make sure we continue with open communication building a strong relationship with them. This Complaint does not have anything to do with our services we have provided to Client in fact, we took on unbilled claims for 3 months free to Client and now it time to pay for the service a question around the contract and Client misunderstanding is why we are here today. This complaint needs to be settled as URBS have given a final offer.

Hello please pass this message to the appropriate person who is overseeing this matter. As of now, all information has been sent to BBB in regards to the contract in which From Now Become had concerns around the payment.  My contract stands and I have sent over multiple times the contract to you all in whom all will or has or need to review it.  In addition I have given answers to the questions that were asked of me. This matter has been now over 30 days and From Now Become is breach of contract and now out 36 days of none payment. I recall From Now Become stated in the emails that I will pay late fee and the $5000.00 yet we have not seen the payment.  URBS also, gave From Now Become a couple of options in who to pay still NO have not heard back from FNB. This matter will need to be resolved and our URBS will seek another way of enforcing payment due to URBS.  The contract is 3 years with an exit out after 1 year has been served. And URBS will be looking for a settlement in full or continue service. AS of 07/06/2022 we will URBS look to come to a resolution and no other negating all have exhausted.

      thank you
