I was seeing a Provider at the ******* location via Telehealth due to COVID restrictions, so paying my copay at the time of service wasn't an option. I was given a choice of getting bills and paying or having my credit card kept on file and every month the billing office would charge my card for whatever balance I had. I chose to keep my card on file, and had no issued with them charging it for the couple of appointments I had each month. Several months went by that they did not do this and then I received a *paper* statement for about $300 in October 2021. I emailed the billing office via the Life stance/Western Patient portal and asked why I wasn't getting my credit card charged. KBECKWITH1 responded stating my credit card didn't transfer over when Western switched to LifeStance. I agreed to start paying $50 a month until my balance was paid. I paid two payments, and then in December paid the remaining balance in full. January 2022 I get a notice from a collections agency that LifeStance uses, stating that a balance of $217 is in collections and balance is due now. I called them and stated I have no balance and can prove I already paid everything that is due the previous month, I sent them my credit card statement showing the balance was paid and they are working with Lifestance to work it out. I called Lifestance/Western about a week later and both the Clinic and the lady I spoke with at the billing office confirmed I have no past due balance and NOTHING was sent to collections on their end. I was just given some weird explanation about a spreadsheet being given to the collections agency and they handle the rest. I had no balance, so why was my account ever sent to collections.
