I had a program pay my remaining balance and as soon as they received the money the applied it to the account wrong and literally ran off on the plug twice. I had a remaining balance that was owed to me along with a deposit that was never refunded now my credit score is being affected I was told they closed the business down and someone would Contact me **** its a whole new year and nothing and now my credit and everything is is being affected by this bc they took money and never paid the bills . This how literally screwed me I will be taking action if someone does NOT reach out and return my money asap I could barely move till just now bc my credit score was affected I was depending on that money to help me move but instead I was assed out. I moved out from the ******* townhomes back at the end of April 2023 and its Feb 2024 and I was just able to finally move but now I cant even get power bc I have a remaining billInitial Complaint

I was a resident at the ****** court apartments from 2018 to July 2023.I have a history of chronic asthma, the property is non smoking and states so In the lease. I reported for several years about tenants smoking on the property where I also have pictures of the tables that were designated as smoking areas, both positioned by my door and bedroom window. The company was aware of this and never took action even after I complained several times, they turned a blind eye.I have emails they sent to all residents asking them to not smoke by doors and windows, but were okay with it on the property, the lease I signed clearly states NO smoking on property.I spoke to residents asking them to jot smoke in the tables by my wi down and it made the problem worse, I reported thus and nothing was done.For health and safety reason I vacated my lease 2 months early and they allowed for that without penalty.There were repairs noted to be completed during my inspection in January this year and they neglected to ever complete the repairs and address the drawer facing in the kitchen and complaints of mold in the bathtub. Now they are charging me for that as part of my move out cost. In my opinion this is not fair, I have emails where they ensured me I would not be charged for these items upon move out. I have contacted ********************* by email and phone, she will only respond d via email and will nit return my calls. These are not property managers, they are money hungry slumlords making money off the less fortunate.Initial Complaint

Prior to move in there was issues and things that were told to ** that would be fixed and more we told them we would withhold rent because when we moved in we had pipe bursts and all of that the day we moved in found out still issues these were addressed with a girl named ******* she also told ** that wsg was all on one bill and told ** that PGE is separate we said cool and then after we signed paperwork she had also told ** that now we have different payments of method with water through the state and all of that but didnt tell ** who to call or anything we spoke to her about our issues then get a call from ****** a week or what not later with yelling and being disrespectful way out of line I told her I didnt want to speak to her if shes gonna speak to me that way and told her my concerns and everything as much as possible then told her that I was done talking because she was still being dissprectful and from now on to contact me through email sent her all the papers with info on what needed to be fixed and everything when **** and ***** came to our home they explained everything to ** and promised it would be handled and we dont have to worry about it they never told ** when they were coming so I kept calling to ask we told them in the very beginning that we have jobs and that we only had weekends off at that time when we both got employed then they told ** they would charge ** more to come on the weekends to fix these issues which doesnt make sense where nowhere its states that I told them if its difficult for u to come out then I can have my contractor come and fix these things and deduct from rent they never responded about it they ignored it we had a sink that didnt work properly we had a fallen fence a gate and gutters and a bedroom door interior door on for our front door and a deadbolt that was broken for almost two months of living here that still isnt finished or fixed gets stuck and the door doesnt fit in the frame so thats great to open and close and so on then another call today wensday may 3rd I had gotton from ***** screaming yelling and cussing on the phone at me I told him to hold on because Im not dealing with the disrespect on the phone from him for no reason he proceeded to yell and be rude on the phone and I was trying to record him because this is ridiculous he just kept talking I told them the week before that we have tuesdays off and if they could come out next Tuesday which is may 2nd they had all day to come out they never showed up or called or notified ** that they werent coming they scheduled it from anywhere from 12 to 4pm on may 2nd never showed up nothing so I called at like 5pm to get answers he told me oh well I can come out let me ask **** if thats alright then Ill call u back I said okay sweet cause we work and h guys havent been coming out or not doing the job when coming out he said sorry to hear that I said its fine just let me know and then he calls back and says **** said no and that we have to reschedule so I said okay well we dont have very many days off can u come tmr he said yes how about 10am I said sure sounds good as long as I get out to get to work on time he said okay and they never showed I emailed ****** she said sorry and blah blah blah and I said yeah they said they would be here at 10am no one came so I called the number he called me at yesterday that was last on my phone and he said oh I forgot and I talked to **** he never got back to Me and so I told him well I had to call off from work to be here because u guys said u would and then u guys arent can u let me know what time u and **** can be out here today then he said let me give him a calm then ***** calls me all rude and disrespectful and all of that the problem I dont understand is they all three have been at my house to figure out times to fix these issues and then they never show up or they half do the job and then say they will be back and arent and never come back then being told constantly that we can move out and they will let ** out of the lease Im pregnant Im not moving again just cause they cant be respectful towards people and there residents and actually do the jobs they promised they would do thats my whole issue and they refuse to give me cooperates number stating its the only number they have but yet ***** is not cooperate he even stated that he is just the maintance manager and they dont have cooperates number so I called bbb and asked what to do they said make a complaint because its just simple that wayInitial Complaint

On 12/3/21 I was told that my payment for my rent due to covid was sent out to the company but here it is 11/3/22 and they don't know what happened to the check totaling ********* went *************************** was named the person who signed the contract to receive payment the check was made out to the owner *********** of D*** Family Trust. Sent to the main office *********************************************************************** I have been constantly harassed by ********************* telling me that I need to move out and they will give me my ******* move in deposit Then when I refused that because it cost way more to move anywhere here in ******** She then kept calling me coming to my home banging on my door w/o a notice for entry I have had mold damage lost my property due to the damage put in numerous maintenance request had to call my insurance my rental insurance office to make a claim which ended up costing me $1,000 deductible and after they removed all the mode and wet items that came up to close to $7,000 Fortress property was supposed to reimburse me my $1,000 deductible and I have not received that they even went as far as to delete all of my maintenance so now ****** has quit a lot of people in the main office have either quit or been fired but no one is telling me what happened to the check and the amount of $********* Fortress probably wants to raise the rent but don't want to fix anything or replace anything they're just so money hungry pay your rent on time and no we're not fixing anything I had a note for my doctor stating that they need to either remove my carpet or have my carpet professionally cleaned due to my asthma and me being on steroids for 3 months and guess what they did nothing except for telling me to move my lease is up in March of 2023 but they're trying to get me to move and break my lease without telling me why or are you there answering any of my questions I've been sending emails and no one wants to respond I've asked to move downstairs due to my son being paralyzed
