2/18/24 we signed contracts (3) for the replacement of 3 showers in our home and paid $11,100 cash (50% down, cash discount) Work on the main bath proceeded the following day. 2/24/24 he requested and received another $2,000 progress payment. 3/07/24 he completed the main shower and requested and received another $3,500. I pointed out the tiles were askew/not flat and the grout was uneven and was all over the face of the tiles. He assured us these things would be "taken care of" and proceeded to the master shower demolition. Dry rot damage was discovered in the floor outside the shower. Progress stopped on the shower and began on removing the floor. 3/11/24 a 4th contract was signed for the master bath floor. Quality control issues were found and partially addressed. 4/11/24 $2,400 was requested and paid for the floor - again wiht the assurance the issues would be taken care of. 4/25-30/24 in our KNOWN absence, he came and removed his tile saw. Work has ceased since 4/16/24 leaving the master shower 100% unusable. Concerns with the main shower and master floor remain unresolved. Contractors invited in to complete these projects have ALL said the work is subpar and would need to be demolished and started over. Product warranties have been voided due to his removal of niche flanges and his not using manufacturer-required waterproofing tapes and compounds to seal the entire shower enclosure.Initial Complaint

He lied to me about my problem, he said I didnt have water on my celling when he NEVER got up in my Loft to see, so he just painted my celling and said he fixed the hole ( knowing I caint get up there, I M 79 years old) the place he painted turned brown again in 1 week, because he didin't fix in the loft. he charge me $600.00 now, 2 weeks later I have the same problem. I had to fine another construction to come out to look at the water on my celling ( to fine out what he didnt do ) Now I got to paid again for someone to fix my celling. The guy will not come back out or wont answer his phone. **** Hartmann took my money and run because knew I couldn't climb up there.
