I purchased tickets in early 2020 for a show in October of 2020, the show was unfortunately canceled for obvious reasons and I was given a voucher for my tickets. The show was recently rescheduled and I tried to use my voucher to get tickets however Ive been ghosted by the venue and now the tickets I wanted are sold out. Id just like the money I spent on the original tickets back.Business response

When the ********************************************* to receive a voucher worth above the original ticket amount for future use at Doug Fir Lounge. The customer was sent the code, as evidenced in the email they provided in this complaint. When the customer learned that the performer from the original cancel show had scheduled a new event at the venue, they found that the *** tickets had already sold out and they were unable to apply their voucher to the ticket price. Upon receiving an email from them, we made special exception and reserved two *** tickets for them that were password protected for their use.The customer notified us that they were unable to enter two codes through Eventbrite to make the purchase, so we outlined two options to rectify the situation: 1) We could refund the purchase 100% to their original payment method through Eventbrite or 2) We could reserve one *** ticket through Eventbrite, and issue them a partial refund to cover the remaining balance of the Tixel code on the second ticket purchase. The customer opted for the second option, but after reviewing their complaint on BBB and request for a full refund, we issued a refund to their original payment method for the full amount of their original tickets as requested.
We notified the customer of the full refund, and agreed to leave the special password protected *** tickets available for them to purchase. In the event that their original payment method is cancelled or expired, we will issue a check to the customer.
