My unit was broken into and my items were damaged and stolen. During the break in they left items and urine in my unit. I asked the property manager to fix the unit so it was secure. They did not, nor did they make a reasonable effort to have it fixed as soon as possible. Leaving my unit accessible to others. I then decided to end my relationship with Central Self Storage and move. Unpon returning the unit I was told that I would be sent to collections if I did not remove the items left by the people who broke in or clean the unit. I informed them that I would not take possession of potentially stolen property and that the items are not my responsibility. The Facility operator engaged in gross negligence by not securing my unit, By not informing me that there had been a string of break ins over the last two months, by removing the cameras monitoring the elevator after the first few break-ins, and falsely advertising the installation of a new 24 hour security system. I do not seek any damages, I simply wish to end my relationship with this business without be harrassed with collections for things that are not my fault or responsibility.
