We purchased a 2013 GMC Yukon from Autolane. After driving off the lot, the check engine light came on. I immediately called the dealer who told me it was an oil pressure sensor and would cost $200-300 to fix. By the time we got home (2 hrs away) the low oil pressure warning came on. I took it to my local GMC dealership and had them fix the oil pressure sensor. It cost $2900. Autolane agreed to pay $1000 of that cost. That did not fix the problem and we again had to take it back in. This time I took it to a different mechanic who told me it needed a whole new engine. I took it back to GMC for a 2nd opinion and was told the same thing. We just had to pay $11000 for a new engine to be put in. All that Autolane has said is that it was sold "as-is" and they will not help anymore. I completely belive that they knew about this problem before they sold us the vehicle. We finally got the vehicle back from the shop today to only discover more problems. There is an interior leak somewhere as the seatbelts are now moldy. I feel that Autolane covered up this problem as well before selling us the vehicle. Autolane LLC is an awful car dealership and should no longer be in business!Business response

We were sorry to hear about the check engine light that came on after your purchased. When buying a used vehicle, there is always a possibility of an issue arising. We do our best to check out the vehicles before we sell them, to prevent this from happening. We would never intentionally sell a vehicle to a customer with an undisclosed problem. We value our customers and our business. Once you contacted us regarding your check engine light and the need for an oil pressure sensor, we agreed to pay for that repair. You took the vehicle to a *** dealers repair center and had them repair the oil pressure sensor and other voluntary general maintenance items. Although the cost to replace the sensor typically cost around $300.00, in the spirit of good business, we went ahead and paid the dealership $1000.00 towards your bill. In response to your needing to replace the engine after ************ at the *** dealerships repair center, the engine did not have catastrophic failure until after the work you had done at their facility. We have no control over the quality of repairs performed by the repair facility that you chose.
