On the date of 04/21/2024, I received a phone call from Seaport asking if I wanted to trade my truck in for a different vehicle and I explained to them that I would but only if they completely paid it off and no negative equity went on the new loan. I explained my position on this to the salesman (*****) and the finance manager (*******) multiple times during the transaction. After multiple hours spent in there lobby and having to get my mother down there to help sign over the paperwork from the old truck, my fianc, mother and myself were told multiple times that Seaport was buying my old truck at the amount that I owed on it. Well after a total of 6 hours spent there by the time it came to sign paperwork they put all 3 of us in a cramped office and had us sign the paperwork as fast as we could so as to make it almost impossible to read anything before signing it, which if we had been able to read the paperwork it turns out that they did not pay us the full amount of what was owed on my old truck but instead transferred over $10,334.19 of negative equity onto the new loan without informing us of this even once. I never would've traded in my old truck if I was gonna get negative equity added to the new loan. I was told multiple times that wasn't going to happen and would like to get the $10.334.19 back so I don't have to pay for it with interest. Especially since they told us multiple times that that is what they were going to pay for my old truck.
