****** at TRD motors LLC sold me a truck that was deleted. I was not aware that it was illegal for him to do so. Emissions tampering is a federal crime and not only hurts the dealership/business owner but also the purchaser as now I am struggling after it being a vehicle reported with a delete system installed. I purchased this truck last November with a Bullydog system installed. He advertised it as a deleted truck to us but neglected to inform us that it was illegal for him to actually sell. He also had given me the previous owners information so I could directly contact him with any further questions about the truck. When I called to discuss returning the truck to him for my money back so I may purchase a legal vehicle he denies it ever being deleted in the first place and tried to accuse me of deleting it myself. I have no service records of charges for this accusation nor would I bother. I bought the truck for $33,995 not including licensing/tax fees. All I want is my money back. I have also lined up previous customers who have brought deleted trucks in to him for sale or trade in that he has then sold to others as well. I did request his attorneys information as he told me he has attorneys and would get the info to me so I may speak with them, but has yet to follow through. He has scammed a lot of people out of money, even refusing to pay his promise for referral payments to people who have recommended them to TRD including a no longer friend ******. We have gathered paperwork and other documents that show this to be an issue but I am hoping he does the right thing and refunds me my money in exchange for the truck back. He continues to make statements that are false and digging himself into a deeper hole. He needs to make it right before I contact the other agencies and report him for a federal investigation where they will obtain all records of other vehicles in and out of his dealership and previous owners statements about illegally bought and sold vehicles.

Hello. This is our response to Jaimie *****.

We got a phone message from Mrs. Curry on 8/6/24. She stated the some "mysterious whistle blower" contacted her demanding she disclose where she bought her 2013 **** F350. Vin#***************** non November 17, 2023. Today is August 8, 2024, 10 months after the purchase of vehicle. She is now claiming the truck was deleted and wants all of her money back. She claims that we deleted the truck and didn't tell her. We did not delete this truck, nor do any of our records indicate that it was deleted.

We purchased this truck, private party. I have included the paperwork of the purchase. If we had purchased the truck at auction and it was deleted, they would have announce that, and we would not have bid on it anyways.

It is VERY surprising to us that a customer would own a rig for over 10 months and then make these claims. We told her very directly that we would not allow her to return a truck she has driven and owned for over 10 months! We have NO IDEA what my have been done to this truck or the real reasons she now would like to get all of her money back. She purchased the truck "as is" Paid cash, did all of her own DMV after the sale. She had so many opportunities to make such claims at the time of sale. At this point it seems very ridiculous that she would even make these claims.

That being said, we want our customers happy and certainly don't like these false claims being made, so I emailed her on 8/7/2024 that, if indeed the truck is deleted, that we would pay to put stock emissions back in the truck for her. This would remedy her complaint. She has not responded to our offer. It is our belief that she no longer wants the truck or it has major mechanical issues and she is trying to find a way to take no responsibility for owning this truck for the past *********************************************** her claim. If what she says is true, then our offer would suffice in every way, to her concerns. Yet, she doesn't seem to actually want the remedy for the exact issue she filed the complaint for. We work very hard maintaining happy customers before and after the sale, and Mrs. Curry is no different. We believe putting emission components in the truck for her, is more than efficient to suffice her complaint.

TRD Motors will not refund this customer all of her money after she has owned the vehicle for 10 months. Period. We are willing to take any legal action necessary if she doesn't want to accept our remedy.
      Kind Regards,
      ****

I purchased a truck from TRD Motors and immediately after leaving their shop the truck started leaking oil. We called the shop and they ran us around for weeks promising us a resolution. Finally when we took it to a shop we were told it would cost $4300 to repair the oil leak. The mechanic at the shop said the leak had been previously covered up with silicone. The dealer has a thorough inspection done by their mechanic and would not confirm or deny whether or not they knew that the leak was temporarily covered up. The dealer refuses to do anything to resolve this issue

Hello, we have responded directly to *********************** on numerous occasions. I have attached some of the correspondence we have had. On her first complaint She had falsely stated that we "SOLD" then a warranty. I have attached proof that we gave them a FREE six month warranty from a 3rd party company, called ******************* A claim was made, however unfortunately Elite warranty policy did not offer repair coverage on gaskets/leaks when no actual mechanical component had failed. I have attached the notes from the claims adjuster from Elite. They also explain why there isn't coverage for the repair they are seeking. The ********* made claims that a silcone was added to the motor. We have stated that at NO time did we apply or did we ever notice any silcone. The truck had no leaks when it was sold. The biggest issue we have stated to the customers is that, when they made the claim, they had driven the truck more than 2500 miles!!! When they first called us, they stated "ever since they bought it, they couldn't drive it, and it's been parked in the driveway all the time" Obviously, that isn't the case. That is why we are not paying for the repair. We did offer to find them much better pricing for the repair. I had sent her a few quotes and I have attached the cheapest one we got for her. This mechanic is in ****** area as well. It is nearly 2k less than what she was quoted. Because of our dealership pricing, we called and asked them to give her wholesale pricing for the repair. We are very sorry that the truck is leaking, however we did our part in assuring the vehicle was in good mechanical condition when it was sold. It has over 100k miles and seals and gaskets can fail at any time, especially at those miles. We have NO IDEA how the truck was driven or maintained once they purchased it and drove it over 2500 miles without issues. We hope they take advantage of the great price we helped them get on the repair, but at this point, that is all TRD is willing to assist with. Kind Regards, ****

      Complaint: 22000498

I am rejecting this response because the mechanic that we took the truck to for repair clearly stated in his diagnostic that the silicone was added to the truck previously to temporarily stop an oil leak that was pre-existing. I contacted TRD Motors immediately after discovering the leak and they ran me around for weeks promising me that they would help but never did. They were very good at wasting my time and making me contact them numerous times. I had confidence in this company that they would take care of me and make this right but I was wrong and I should have taken legal action immediately instead of trusting

them to do the right thing. TRD Motors temporarily covered up an oil leak to sell a truck and are now lying about it. When I asked **** if he knew anything about the leak being covered up he couldnt give me a straight answer. This company is very shady and they took advantage of me.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

I purchased a 2018 ****** Tacoma TRD off-road from this dealership on November 19, 2022. I received a phone call on March 3, ****************************************************************************************** with a salvage title. The dealership told me that they were unaware of it being a salvage title and the even the Carfax stated it was a clean title. The dealership stated they were notified by the auction that the vehicle was purchased from that it was a salvage title and that the vehicle was going to have to be returned. On March 4, 2023 the dealership agreed to buy back the truck from me for the price I originally paid, $39,800.32. On March 7, 2023, the dealership called again stating that the vehicle did not have a salvage title and that there was a mistake, but they weren't 100% sure. I was very frustrated by all this because I sold all the modifications I purchased and rented a vehicle in order to not put the truck at risk before selling it. I expressed these frustrations to the dealership and asked them if they could just purchase the truck back at the price we agreed on, but they denied it because they wanted to make sure it was truly a salvage title before buying it back. I called the *** on March 15, 2023 and they verified through NMVTIS that the truck had a salvage title as of 11/24/2021. I notified the dealership and they agreed to buy back the vehicle on March 16, 2023 for $39,800.32. As of today, March, 31, 2023 I have still not received payment for the truck because the dealership keeps stating that they're not sure if the vehicle is salvage even though they already bought it back from me.

Hello ************. Again, we want to apologize for all of the personal struggles and sacrifices you have had to make due to this transaction. As you have well documented, the issue with the "brand" on the vehicle has been the legal issue we have been dealing with between Manheim auto auction, Carfax, NMVTIS and of course, yourself. I CAN NOT litigate this complaint on the BBB website. Although the BBB provides consumers and businesses a platform to provide better customer service, there are some cases that can't be adjudicated on their website. Due to the fact that we are pending legal cases, on advise of our council, there are not many things I am able to say in our response. We will again simply state that at the time the truck was sold to you, there were not alerts, flags, on title brands announced from the auction or Carfax DATED on the day it was sold to you. The NMVTIS (Bumpers) report included in your response was dated 03/17/2023. Nearly 5 months earlier you purchased the vehicle.(11/19/22) We purchased this vehicle in good faith with the the auction as well as Carfax stating the title had no "brands" Our legal issues we are arguing in the courts places no blame on you or implies any culpability on your part. We are in litigation with the auction house, because, like you, we feel we have not been treated fairly in this transaction. Our attorney's have told us that due to pending litigation, we are currently advised to not make any transactions, implied or otherwise in this case. We feel terrible about how this whole transaction has gotten to this point. The ****** is still here, locked in a gated yard, because we can't do anything with it yet because of the pending case. We would love to get our money back on it as well!!! Again, we apologize to you and we are looking forward to getting this resolved!

      Kind Regards,

      ******
