mechanic inspected 2015 Outback I decided against buying it after he printed the repairs needed immediately to have it on the road. The value of the vehicle had been misrepresented based on *****************'s book condition and fair market value. A rodent nest, rodent f**** and chewed-up felt under the hood were proof it had a rodent infestation and might still have, .this alone is evidence the vehicle had not even been gone through by the business. The engine valve cover gasket was leaking, and the left one it needed to be repaired. My mechanic showed me the leakage. and I was the brakes were squishy and engaged a lot farther down then normal when I braked. Brake oil was black,pads were wore out and needed immediate replacement. Oil check showed very dark old oil with the distinct odor that develops when a vehicle has sat for a long time. My mechanic went to the Blue Book and showed me how vehile condition was determined. It was not in good condition it was in mid-range fair condition because it needed repairs, it had been infested, and it had been driven more than ****** miles a year. HAS mileage of ******. It did not have even 1 service record available, with a dirty engine compartment nest included! He told me to offer 6000 dollars the value he calculated for its condition per ****** Blue Books criteria, mileage, and repair costs deducted from her price. I went over it and showed her the paperwork, My offer was refused After going over it all!!!! I did forget to mention the evidence under the hood of a rodent infestation. She insisted there were no leaks, and said that's why there was a warranty. I was not given warranty specifics for coverage etc. only told it was a 12-month/12000-mile warranty.. I asked her on 2 occasions what it covered all she said was "everything". The asking price advertised was *******., after inspection the advertised increased to *******! BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Not in compliance with the ****** used car rule as well!
