On 4/3/2024, we provided concrete to Vargas Concrete Construction, LLC. They paid for concrete with a check that was later returned for insufficient funds on 4/10/2024. ****** Vargas (RMI owner) claimed it was a bank error, fraud, and would clear the issue up and get a payment to us with cashiers check. Instead, she has ignored texts, phone calls, etc. As of right now, we are going to have to file a lien against the property to get payment from the homeowner who has already paid Vargas Concrete Construction, LLC. Now they will be forced to double pay and the homeowner will have to seek legal action to seek payment from Vargas Concrete Construction, LLC. If Vargas Concrete Construction were licensed and bonded, I or the homeowner would file a complaint for NSF returned check amount against their bond. Unfortunately, they are not active due to multiple issues and penalties attached to their CCB ******. They continue to operate although they aren't licensed or bonded. They owe $15,820.04 in unpaid civil penalties according to the **** not including what they owe us.Customer response

As of 6/20/2024, this complaint/issue has been resolved and paid in full to us by Vargas Concrete Construction, LLC.
I couldn't find online in the "complaint/issue" area where I could click or upload the resolution.
If you need proof or additional information from me, please let me know.
If I'm required to upload anything to the complaint portal, let me know how/where?

On 1/31/22 we signed an agreement with Vargas Concrete Construction to complete a small concrete project for us. At this time, we paid the deposit of $1250.00 with check #****. The construction was set to start on 2/17/22. To date, Vargas has not started the work or been in contact with us since 3/30/22 when they stated they apologized for the lack of communication, that they had a family emergency. They asked if we would like the project completed or a refund, I responded that we would like a refund. We have received no further contact to our texts, emails or letters sent via **** asking for a refund.
