Just took over an hour to text everything and when I tried to attack docs. All disappeared. Called Mandile Small Engine repair because they come out to property to repair. He said my mower was TOAST Non Repairable but had a Craftsman could sell me that he just fixed. His plan was to sell it for $650 but for $400 plus my mower I could have it.Mine had gasoline that had gotten into the oil. When he returned with the Craftsman I told him about a video I saw where a guy drained the engine due to the same thing that happened to mime and it worked. He said my engine was Toast, Not Repairable.Had a few problems with his. Contacted him, said he would come. A month later sent him a reminder. Said he'd been busy. I said too bad mine wasn't fixable because I'd trade back. /2 hr later he says he'll bring my fixed mower back. Shocked! Non Repairable? 2hrs later he bring my old mower. Said he overhauled it, drained engine & replaced ********* & New Valve cover gasket. Put New Valve Rings? No he said. Thats usually what involved w/overhauls. It was missing the lights, air filter and air filter cover. Said he would bring them. 19 days later brings them, fiddles with carb since chock wasn't working and also couldn't get it to idle slower. Said if continue to have problems just call. I did a few weeks later since it still wouldn't chock and would backfire with a lrg fume of BLACK smoke. His reply "That's a New problem. Chr $60 to come out plus repairs. I say it's doing the same thing and you said to call you if I still had problems. My initial call was months ago. Sold me his repaired mower then traded me my so called UNREPAIRABLE mower back without any paperwork for it and said No refunds for the difference. I asked if he wanted to make it right by fixing it or at least come look at it. No unless I pay. I said I would have to make a few calls then. The he calls. If You can bring in won't chrg on site chrg. I tried to be patient w/him. Over 2 mo waiting on him.Fix mower pl

on or around june- 14 got a call from a customer needing an on site job couldn't get her mower started. I told her it would be a  ***** onsite fee. She said she already had a new battery, but the tires were flat, she also said that she had a neighbor take off the carburetor because they worked on cars, so she said he knew what to do, but put it back on wrong or something because it still wouldn't run and know it was leaking gas from the carburetor.

june 14th did the on-site job. After looking over the mower I told the customer that her mower is in bad shape and that it would cost more to fix it than it was worth since it was a pretty old mower. told her that I had a refurbished craftsman for sale and I would sell it to her for ******, for the trade of her's and I'd deliver it to her. she agreed. gave her a 90 day warranty.

Customer called around the 6th of july about 3 weeks later saying she didn't like the mower because it went too fast. She said she wished she could have her lawnmower back. I talked to her and told her I was able to get her mower running. She was shocked, and told her what I did to get it back up and running. I told her if she would like it back I would bring it and we would just do a swap again straight across. I would bring it to her as soon as I was able to.

Customer did a friendly reminder july 21st. had been really busy with other customers. i Apologized for not getting back to her, we have been swamped with a lot of work and I would get to her as soon as I could, she was understanding.

july 23rd did an on-site job and dropped her mower off and took the craftsman mower back.  no charge on site. would have been a ***** charge.

September -2 customer called and was asking about the headlights and air filters being replaced since they were nowhere to be found. I told her when I had time I would come take a look.

September  21st- did an on site free of charge and replaced lights and air filter she also needed a boult on the deck replaced did it for free no charge.

Oct 18th customer called and said she was able to get the mower going a few times after I had dropped it off. worked well, Then she explained what was going on the third time she started it and said she smelled gas, backfires, big bloom and black smoke, and it shakes. When I talked to her, I told her that I would have to charge her an on site fee since I have done a lot of onsite and didn't charge her. or she could bring it to me and I could take a look for her for no cost. and she started getting angry with me. She started threatening me that if I didn't come fix it for free that she was going to make a few phone calls and that was the end of it.

if i charged her for fixing and all the onsite fee it would have been: labor- 1*****,  3 hours = ****** despoil ***** x3= ***** new gas =**** new oil = 12.95x2 = ***** on site fee= *****x4=240.00 = ****** we only charged her ******

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,
I do not feel that charging or would have changed for repairs or On Site fee's for problems caused by repairman  for repairs under Warranty.

June14th $60.00 1st time on site fee for checking mower.

July 23 On site to repair mower but ended up being an exchange.should not be charged under warranty

Sept 21 He brought back my headlights, air filter and airfilter cover he neglected toput back on. Should not be charged for his neglect

On this visit i explained the it is permanating strong gasoline fumes. He wiggled things on the carburetor.  It was after this that I had a problem getting it started, the backfiring and the BIG Bloom of Smoke

I inquired at a Reputable Mower Repair Shop of cost

      $48 oil change

      Gasoline $5

      $5 Oil disposal

      $80 labor

**** had told me that my mower was NON Repairable,, Toast. He never said it would cost more to fit it. So I thought that he must have sent me a message he meant for someone else when he said he had fixed mine. I had joked it was too bad mine couldn't have been fixed I would trade back. Half an hour later he says he'll be bringing mine back fixed. ?? From Non repairable to buy his to fixed and no refund on the difference or even paper work to show the trade. I wrote it on the receipt I had from buying his anyway.

When he took my mower he dropped it 3X's trying to get it on the trailer maybe that's why the Deck wouldn't stay up anymore. He stated the Big Bloom of Smoke & Backfire was a New problem & it needed an Overhaul. I guess he forgot that he told me he had overhauled it when he brought it back.

      Also I never said;

I didn't like his mower cause it went to fast.

That my neighbor worked on cars

That my neighbor put the carburetor on Wrong( **** said this)

      That my tires were flat

Again all I wanted was **** to do what he had Promised. To take care of any problems.

He definitely should take care of the problems he caused.
