I took my ten year old daughter to a appointment for teeth cleaning. Our visit did not go as expected. The dental hygienist was rude and short with my daughter and when my daughter had anxiety about getting her teeth cleaned, the lady didn't even try to sooth her or offer anything to help or even explain the process. I asked for something to help and nothing was offered, said it takes to much time to use anything. Long story short, they didn't even try not even a little bit to do the appointment. Told my daughter if she didn't cooperate then she had to leave.. I was and am still in disbelief about the interaction. Unbelievably unacceptible for a children's dental office.. Was not a soothing ,comforting environment at all... they had zero patients. I mean zero..We was in and out in less then ten minutes. Sad really cause my daughter was crying as we were leaving. My daughter was asking to stay and they kept saying 'not till you can follow directions.' She was just scared.. They acted like anxiety was a behavior problem. she was not in any way being misbehaved. she was nervous. They didn't wanna have time for that. not even a minute . I wish i was exaggerating, but i am not. Our first appointment was total opposite ... this was our second visit and im just distraught . This has caused a great deal of stress and even more anxiety for my daughter and I . Her Orthodontist knows about the incident and has referred us to a dentist that is very patient, and wonderful. The orthodontist is also very wonderful with my daughter.. This dentist is no good for kids...They in my opinion just like to put kids under with ********* and treat them that way,,. I guess that's easier and probably more profitable. Our first appointment my daughter was put under. I remember thinking to myself it was kinda odd, but i figured maybe it was better that way ..... Looking back now i wish i woulda refused ,.. My daughter has very simple treatment. Look into it this..Did not need to be put under
